Arena Leisure PLC30 April 2007 Arena Leisure Plc ('Arena') Annual General Meeting Statement At Arena's Annual General Meeting this afternoon, all resolutions were dulypassed. Commenting during the meeting Arena's Chairman, Raymond Mould, said: "Arena had another successful year in 2006 and is on course for more success in2007 and beyond. "Attendances in the first part of 2007 have remained softer than anticipated,but this is traditionally a quiet period of the year, and prospects for the verybusy summer months are encouraging. In addition, Arena's new catering divisionhas successfully taken on the management of the Group's catering operations witheffect from 1 April 2007 and the new division has got off to a strong start. "Arena's development projects continue to progress well, with the DoncasterRacecourse redevelopment on schedule for a successful staging of the LadbrokesSt Leger Festival in September 2007. Arena also welcomed the receipt of planningpermission at Doncaster Racecourse for the combined 120-bedroom hotel and34-unit residential development. "The preparation of the detailed planning application for the hotel developmentat Lingfield Park Racecourse remains on schedule for submission before 30 June2007. The planning application at Wolverhampton Racecourse for a hotel expansionand introduction of a casino was submitted in February 2007. The Company awaitsthe decision of Wolverhampton City Council, which will hopefully be in the firsthalf of this year."
