Appointment of Directors

Anglo Pacific Group PLC ("Anglo Pacific Group", "the "Group") (LSE: APF, ASX: APG), the natural resources royalty company, is pleased to announce that effective today, it has appointed Chris Orchard and John Theobald to the Board as executive directors.

Chris Orchard joined the Group in December 2007 as the Group's Chief Investment Officer. Having graduated with a Mining Hons degree from Leeds University he then worked in the South African mining industry and subsequently spent 20 years as an investment banker in the City specialising in the resources sector.  He was Managing Director of Hambros Equity UK and a Director at RBC Dominion Securities. More recently he managed the investment operations of a private wealth management group.

Chris Orchard owns 40,000 shares representing 0.04% of the Group, and is currently a non-executive director of North Australian Diamonds Limited (ASX: NAD) and Diagnos Inc (TSXV: ADK). No further disclosures are required with respect to the aforementioned pursuant to Chapter 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

John Theobald joined the Group as Chief Operating Officer in April 2008. John graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc Honours degree in Geology and is qualified as a Chartered Engineer. He has held senior positions with major and junior mining companies covering a wide range of metallic and non-metallic minerals. Prior to joining the Group John was UK Operations Director for SCR-Sibelco, a major industrial minerals group. He has also worked for Anglo American, Phelps Dodge and Iscor Mining amongst others and has extensive experience in exploration, acquisitions and developing and operating mines in a number of different countries.

John Theobald owns no shares of the Group at present, and was a non- executive director of Cloudbreak Resources (TSXV: CBD) until February 2008. No further disclosures are required with respect to the aforementioned pursuant to Chapter 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

Both Chris Orchard and John Theobald are welcome additions to the Board and will assist in furthering the Group's strategy of securing new royalties in order to generate strong cashflows and dividends for shareholders.
