Animalcare Group plc ("the Group" or "Animalcare"), a leading supplier of veterinary medicines, announces that Chris Brewster has agreed to join the Board as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 31 May 2012.

Chris joins Animalcare from Findus Group where he has worked since 2010 as Group Accounting Manager. In this role, Chris managed the consolidation and preparation of the Findus Group monthly management accounts across the business units within the UK and Europe. Prior to joining Findus Group, Chris was a Senior Audit Manager at KPMG where he led a department within the Leeds audit practice of circa 30 professional staff including five Managers. Chris has also had key audit client experience at Infinis, Persimmon and Maplin Electronics.

Chris qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant in 2003 and holds a degree from the University of Sheffield.

Chris Brewster, aged 35, currently holds no shares in the Company. A further announcement will be made with regard to any information required to be disclosed under schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules in respect of Mr Brewster's appointment as a Director of the Company.
