("African Minerals" or "the Company")
Share Option Grant Extension
African Minerals Limited (AIM:AMI), the mineral exploration and development company with significant iron ore and base metal interests in Sierra Leone, West Africa, announces that the Company has extended the exercise period of 1,000,000 options that were granted on 22 November 2004 to Mr Gibril Bangura, a director of the Company (the "Options").
The Options, which have all vested and are therefore fully exercisable by Mr Bangura, are due to expire on 20 November 2009. The Company and Mr Bangura have agreed that the period during which the Options may be exercised should be extended by a period of 12 months. The Options will therefore expire on 19 November 2010. All other terms and provisions of the options grant remain the same.
