Paraguay - Operational Update
Amerisur Resources Plc, the oil and gas explorer and developer focused on South America, is pleased to give the following update on technical work performed in its Paraguayan properties.
The surface geochemical sampling programme in the San Pedro contract has been successfully completed on time and within budget. The samples are currently being analysed at the laboratory of the specialist consultant in Bogota.
The samples were acquired in the form of two separate grids located over distinct leads identified through reprocessed and re-interpreted 2D seismic data. The northern grid measured two by 19 km and the southern, five by 19 km. All samples were acquired at the points required by the grid, and the condition of the samples was described as excellent by the acquisition contractor, who considers them suitable for analysis.
Initial results will be available during early June and final analysis will be completed during July 2009.
