Amerisur Resources PLC17 December 2007 17 December 2007 AMERISUR RESOURCES PLC ("Amerisur" or "the Company") Amerisur, the oil and gas explorer and developer focused on South America, hastoday been notified that John Wardle, Chief Executive Officer of Amerisur, hasacquired a beneficiary holding of 6,080,000 new ordinary share of 0.1p each inAmerisur. This holding was paid to Tracarta Limited pursuant to theannouncement on 13 December 2007. John Wardle, Chief Executive Officer ofAmerisur, has an interest in Tracarta Limited, which holds a one third interestin Petex Offshore Inc. Application has been made for 18,240,000 shares to be admitted to AIM, inclusiveof the 6,080,000 shares payable to Tracarta Limited, with trading expected tocommence on 19 December 2007 ('Admission'). Following the new ordinary sharesbeing admitted to AIM, John Wardle will have a direct and indirect interest inthe issued share capital of the Company of 7,963,333 (0.96%). Following Admission, Amerisur's capital will consist of 827,885,301 ordinaryshares of 0.1 pence each (not 827,894,301 as stated in the announcement on 13December 2007).
