1. Introduction
Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. published its Annual Financial Report for the year ended 31 December, 2009 on the 2 March 2010 and has prepared an Annual Information Document in accordance with the provisions of Part 11 of the Prospectus Directive (2003/71/EC) Regulations 2005 (S.I. No. 324 of 2005). The Annual Information Document has been submitted to the Irish Stock Exchange for filing with the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority (the Financial Regulator) in accordance with the provisions of the Prospectus Rules issued by the Financial Regulator.
