Appointment of a New Director

The Board of abrdn Latin American Income Fund Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Michael Gray as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 18 February 2022. Mr Gray was appointed following the conclusion of a search conducted by an independent external search agency.

Mr Howard Myles, Chairman of the Company, said: "The Directors are delighted to welcome Michael Gray to the Board. He brings a wealth of knowledge of investment management, including his substantial experience as a closed-end fund director. Mr Gray has over 30 years' management experience in banking both with ultra-high net worth clients and corporate banking. More recently, he has utilised his corporate experience across a number of industries, now acting as an adviser to a number of companies with global interests. Mr Gray is currently Non-Executive Director of EPE Special Opportunities Limited, Foresight Enterprise VCT plc, GCP Infrastructure Investments Limited (where he is Chairman of the Investment Committee), JTC plc and TEAM plc.

Mr Gray will stand for election as a Director at the Annual General Meeting to be held on or around 14 December 2022.

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules, Mr Gray advises that, there are no other disclosures required to be made for Mr Gray in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules.

Mr Gray does not hold any interests in any of the Company's shares.

Retirement of a Director

As previously announced in the Company's latest Annual Report and Accounts, Mr Richard Prosser will retire as a Director of the Company upon the conclusion of the search for and appointment of a new Jersey-resident Director. Accordingly, he will retire with effect from 18 February 2022.

The Board wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Mr Prosser for his significant contribution as a Director of the Company and his expert guidance and leadership as Chairman since the launch of the Company in 2010. Mr Myles assumed the role as Chairman on 20 December 2021, as previously announced.
