Akers Biosciences, Inc. ("Akers Biosciences" or the "Company") Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
Akers Biosciences which develops, manufactures, and supplies rapid, point of care screening and testing products, announces that Thomas A. Nicolette will take over the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Company with immediate effect, in addition to his existing responsibilities as President and Director.
Mr Nicolette replaces Arthur W. Mullin who previously held this position and has decided to devote more time to his other interests. The directors thank Mr Mullin for his service.
This is a further step by the board of directors in streamlining the operation of the business and in ensuring that Mr Nicolette assumes both the operational, and now financial, management of the business. Robert J. Paratore has been promoted to Financial Controller reporting to Mr Nicolette and will be responsible for the accounting, administration and human resources functions.
Dr Raymond Akers, in his capacity as Chief Executive Officer, will focus on the scientific and technical development of the Company's products.
