ANNOUNCEMENT ON KEY OPERATING DATA OF APRIL 2016

In April 2016, Air China Limited (the "Company"), and its subsidiaries (the "Group") recorded an increase in combined passenger traffic (measured by revenue passenger kilometers ("RPK")) as compared to the same period last year and to last month, respectively. Compared to the same period last year, passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers ("ASK")) increased by 9.7%, while passenger traffic, increased by 9.8%. For domestic routes, passenger capacity and passenger traffic increased by 7.9% and 7.8%, respectively, as compared to the same period last year. For international routes, passenger capacity and passenger traffic increased by 15.2% and 14.5%, respectively, as compared to the same period last year. Passenger capacity on regional routes decreased by 5.0%, while passenger traffic increased by 5.2% as compared to the same period last year. The overall passenger load factor was 80.3%, in line with the same period last year. The passenger load factor for domestic and international decreased by 0.1 and 0.5 percentage points respectively, while the passenger load factor of regional routes saw a growth of 7.4 percentage points.

The Company launched a Chongqing-Dubai route (three times a week) on 2 April 2016 and a Wenzhou-Seoul route (three times a week) on 27 April 2016.

In terms of cargo operations, in April 2016, both revenue freight tonne kilometers ("RFTK") and freight tonnage carried continued to display growth on a year-on-year basis, but recorded a decrease on a monthly basis. Cargo capacity (measured by available freight tonne kilometers ("AFTK")) rose by 6.5% year-on-year. Cargo and mail traffic increased by 6.9% and volume of cargo and mail uplifted grew by 4.6% as compared to the same period last year. The cargo load factor was 54.0%, representing a year-on-year increase of 0.2 percentage points.

In April 2016, the Group added two A320 and retired two B737-800 and one A321. As at the end of April 2016, the Group operated a fleet of 593 aircraft.
