This is an announcement falling under Rule 2.8 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers (the "Code").
New Horizon Oil and Gas Limited (trading as T5 Oil and Gas) ("T5 Oil and Gas") notes the article released yesterday on Mergermarket.com regarding its treating Afren Plc as a possible target.
T5 Oil and Gas announces that it does not intend to make an offer for Afren Plc.
This announcement is made in accordance with Rule 2.8 of the Code. As a result of this announcement T5 Oil and Gas will, together with any party acting in concert with T5 Oil and Gas, be bound by the restrictions contained in Rule 2.8 of the Code.
