Exercise of Options
AEP today announced that it has issued 12,000 ordinary shares of 25p each (the "Option Shares") to certain employees following the exercise of share options, in accordance with the terms of the Executive Share Option Scheme. The Option Shares have been issued from existing Treasury Shares.
Accordingly, the total number of ordinary shares of the Company in issue as at the date of this notice remains at 39,976,272.
Following the issue of the Option Shares the Company holds 506,000 ordinary shares in Treasury, which do not carry any voting rights.
Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares carrying voting rights in AEP is 39,470,272.
The above figure of 39,470,272 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest, or a change to their interest, in the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
