Active Energy, the AIM - the provider of processed wood product for biomass fuel and other applications, announces the resignation of Philip Palmer as Executive Director of the Company and the appointment of Colin Hill as Non-Executive Chairman, both with immediate effect.

Colin Hill, 67, was elected as a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant in 1968 and in 2012 achieved the status of Chartered Global Management Accountant. Between 1963 and 1981 Mr Hill gained experience primarily in special project work including; value engineering, systems development and implementation, investigations, and task force project work. Since 1981 Mr Hill has worked as a freelance consultant to a number of private and public companies. Between 1997 and 2008 Mr Hill was Group Chief Financial Officer of Arlington Group plc (a small-cap company in the private equity, venture capital and proprietary trading space). He is currently Chief Financial Officer of Xenetic Biosciences plc, a UK-based life sciences company with a range of patented technologies and an expanding proprietary drug product pipeline.
