Cambridge, UK: Abcam plc (AIM: ABC), a global leader in the supply of innovative protein research tools, announces that Mike Redmond, a Director of the Company, has today purchased 10,150 Ordinary Shares of 0.2p each in the Company and his wife, Frances Catherine Redmond, also purchased 3,575 Ordinary Shares, both trades at a price of 379 pence per share.

Following this transaction, Mr Redmond's total interest in the Company (including that of his spouse) has increased by 13,725 Ordinary Shares and is now 88,725 Ordinary Shares of 0.2p each, representing approximately 0.04% of the Company's issued share capital.
