Issue of sharesΒ
Anglo Asian MiningΒ PLCΒ (AIM:AAZ)Β announcesΒ that, in line with previous quarters,Β the followingΒ Ordinary SharesΒ have been issued to Directors in lieu of salary/fees for the period 1Β MayΒ 2008Β to 31Β JulyΒ 2008, using the closing share price on 31Β JulyΒ 2008Β ofΒ 8.88p.Β In addition shares have been issued to Numis Securities Limited in settlement of outstanding fees.
The Directors have chosen to take shares in lieu of salary/fees/bonusΒ in order to preserve the cash in the Company for the Gedabek project.

Application will be made for the new Ordinary Shares of Anglo Asian Mining PLC to be admitted to trading on AIM.Β The new Ordinary Shares will rankΒ pariΒ passuΒ with the existing Ordinary Shares in the Company and trading of these shares on AIM is expected to commence onΒ 7 AugustΒ 2008.
The total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights following this issue isΒ 102,138,462.
