Close Technology & General VCT plc
Issue of Equity
Close Technology & General VCT plc (the "Company") announces that, further to the Dividend Reinvestment Scheme introduced by the Company (details of which were set out in the Circular issued to shareholders on 18 April 2008), the Company today allotted 20,976 ordinary shares of 50p each (the "New Ordinary Shares") and 40,654 C ordinary shares of 50p each (the "New C Ordinary Shares") in the capital of the Company. In accordance with the Circular, the "New Ordinary Shares" were issued at a price of 101.1p and the "New C Shares" were issued at a price of 91.2p.
Accordingly, application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the admission of the New Ordinary Shares and the New C Ordinary Shares to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities and it is expected that dealings will commence on 2 June 2008. The New Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing ordinary shares in issue and the New C Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing C ordinary shares in issue.
Following the issue of the New Ordinary Shares and the New C Ordinary Shares the Company will have 35,519,776 ordinary shares and 13,611,991 C ordinary shares in issue.
In conformity with the Transparency Directive's provisions we would like to notify the market of the following:
Close Technology & General VCT PLC's capital as at 30 May 2008 consisted of 13,611,991 ordinary shares and 35,519,776 C ordinary shares. Close Technology & General VCT PLC holds 445,473 Ordinary shares and 14,796 C shares in Treasury.
Therefore the total number of voting rights in Close Technology & General VCT PLC is 48,671,498.
The figure of 48,671,498 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Close Technology & General VCT PLC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency rules.
