Should be. The article was eulogising Nigel Wray, who has a similar, high teens, percentage holding as TEK, and has had a few successful flotations on Aim so knows the ropes, Domino's Pizza etc., so bodes well, patience rewarded soon hopefully
Article in Times today stating "will announce today it has won regulatory approval from USFDA for it's X-PLO2R portable oxygen generator and will then look to float on aim, possibly in the spring"
Looking to raise 10-15m which would value the co at close to 50m and will use funds to launch the portable generator which will sell for appx 1,600
€480m annual revenue run rate! With 80% profit margin too! (based on H2 2020 revenue of €239.2m annualised) and NCYT don't stand still, much more to come, so just had to top up (again!)

COVID-19 diagnostic tests remain able to detect all published virus strains
Paris, France and Camberley, UK - 21 December 2020 - Novacyt (EURONEXT GROWTH: ALNOV; AIM: NCYT), an international specialist in clinical diagnostics, announces that following the detection of a new variant of COVID-19 by the UK's COVID-19 Genomics UK consortium, known as VUI-202012/01, the Company has carried out a detailed analysis of the mutations in this new variant and in all published COVID-19 strains to fully assess the reliability of its existing diagnostic tests.
The results of the in silico (computer simulation) analysis of the sequenced mutations show that the Company's polymerase chain reaction product portfolio, based around a single and a two gene target for COVID-19, remain able to detect all published COVID-19 strains with the same high level of accuracy, including VUI-202012/01.
The Company notes this new strain of the virus has also been identified in other countries, including the Netherlands, Denmark and Australia.
Graham Mullis, Chief Executive Officer of Novacyt, commented:
"These data support the continued use of our tests, which remain accurate in detecting all published strains of COVID-19, including the latest variant. As part of our surveillance programme, we are committed to analysing our selected gene targets for COVID-19 against new published viral sequences to demonstrate ongoing accuracy and performance. We also remain in close contact with the Department of Health and Social Care and the NHS as we continue to focus our efforts on deploying our tests to hospitals and laboratories across the UK, as well as to our customers around the world."
so now the company is worth 8p (50p minus divi) roughly
yesterday it was worth minus 8p (share price less cash in the bank) roughly
think we have at least another 16p rise (and some) coming to get anywhere near value imho
and when i click on Q&A i get.....We are processing the questions, we'll notify you once they become available.

Interesting article from some allegedly well connected chaps
Graham and the team will not be (and should not be) focussed on calming the nerves of us PIs. He knows what is coming (and we know at least some of it), so his is a business focus, geared to securing the best deals at the best prices - he would have less bargaining power with the uk gov if he was constantly bragging about the shed loads of cash he was making from them, and likewise, but probably to a lesser extent, with other entities. Hence the change in focus since June, when the month of June itself highlighted how profitable this company had become, and revealed the potential for exponential growth henceforth. The best leaders in any walk of life keep their powder dry for the greater good rather than succumb to the urge to personally look good (or great in his case) in the moment.
I personally will not sell anything from my growing ISA account (added 3 times yesterday) until i see the figures, and i expect this to be in January, i am happy to rely on ShaunP’s estimates until then, knowing, as he does, that they will be way way short, but only because of what he currently doesn’t know / can’t prove!
Cheers Usain, and her is the update after yesterday (wasn't room on original post):
A (not foolproof) indicator of Plan B being initiated occurs after a heady rise over a number of days when a lot of new pi’s join the party. The stock gets marked up quickly and dramatically (as happened yesterday - 26th Oct) BUT we are unable to buy, i use Barclays but tried multiple times in the first half hour but my attempts were futile (NT the official term) until i did manage to pick some up at £12.49 and then of course plan B kicked in and it went down to a smidgeon over £10 resulting in lots of sellers (i bought 4 more tranches during the day). This has happened on all the previous NCYT tree shakes (Plan B), i have been caught out buying at the top each time but not regretted any of the earlier ones, and am sure i won’t this time either
I shared this with a friend a couple of weeks ago, he seemed to like it and find it useful:
Market Makers exist to make a market for the shares they cover
All shares are held by someone, therefore they need to encourage some of those shareholders to sell their shares to make a market (and them a profit).
There are two ways they do this in the main and we have seen clear examples of both in the last week in #NCYT #NOVACYT (ftaod i am a holder) as follows:
Steadily and sharply increasing the price - after months treading water as an arguably under-valued share #NCYT finally started a daily re-rate of c10% a day rise from £3-£4 a share up to a (current) peak of very nearly £10. The MMs were happy to do this as there were plenty of happy sellers realising gains and plenty of eager buyers mopping up the sells for future gains.
Most holders (me included) believe #NCYT will be worth multiples of £10’s in the months and years to come. So at some point the sellers started to dry up, and the Institutional Investors also started to increase their stakes, so the MMs reverted to plan B:
Steadily and sharply decreasing the price - this panics some long term holders into crystallising their (often substantial) gain and also many new holders, who perhaps don’t know the company so well, and fear it could go back down to the pre-rise level. I am in a third category of holder but thats for another post. The price dropped intra day from just below £10 to well below £9 and then over the next couple of days to the mid £7’s as the sellers were doing what the MMs required of them
To perpetuate the fear amongst holders large buy trades announcements (probably for the II’s) are delayed either by an hour or don’t show up until after the market has closed. Also, if you follow the bulletin boards, lots of anonymous negative posters always appear to spread doom and gloom with baseless rumour and innuendo purporting to be fact (who pays these posters i can only surmise, but, as that would be sinking to their level i won’t speculate)
MMs get a lot of bad press but, to be fair, they are just doing their job and without them we wouldn’t be able to trade as we do. They will receive a large order (one for 4 million appeared after hours in #NCYT this week for example) and they wouldn’t be able to fill it without manipulating the price and generating sellers. Having a basic understanding of how they work the market is key and helps many investors hold their nerve, as well as their shares, when the MMs revert to plan B, as they always will at some point in a shares growth.
I have just added an update after yesterday which i can add if interested
Lake Michigan alone has a total shore length of 1,400 miles, not a bad pond to start with.......
one of the very few drawbacks of living in thailand is that happy hour starts much earlier in the trading day(and the footy starts late), and i know i'm going to wake up tomorrow and think i bought that much NCYT?! But i also (think) i know i will be grinning from ear to ear when i make this discovery :o)
hope the tech is better than the presentation, been adding all day now underwhelmed
