As an ex submariner for 17 years, do we really need trident as a nuclear deterrant. why not scrap it and use the money to buy 10 nuclear attack submarines and have them carry 6 to 8 nuclear tipped long range tomahawk cruise missiles. instead of the 8 x 16 x 4 x 20 kilotonne devices that the trident D3 missile supplies. Anyway , that aside, i dont think Jezzer would be good for the country. IMO
