Goog afternoon all. Much on here about dodgey dealings still of one kind or another, still going on betewwn the various parties. That may well be true. However I find it hard to believe that with all the focus on the Afren story by legal entities and the autorities, FCA & SFO the press etc, that the relevant parties would be doing anything other than going strictly by the book. They would be fools to to do otherwise. The reason why some things seem inexplicable to us is that we simply do not know the underlying facts. Good luck (ALAG) TONY

Hi Cem. Im confused by your post. You say ASOG tried to facilitate a takeover. Did you mean ASOG or ALAG (afren legal action group)?

Hi Andy. How do we know the SFO is investigating. My experience is the do not release that information. If they are thats very interesting and will make many people uncomfortable.

Hi matt. I dont think that if assets are bought we will get any value. It all goes to pay off debt. We need someone to buy our shares so that a bidder retains Afren in nigeria and therefore no change of control. I dont think change in ownership of the shares constitutes chane of control of the leases. They are still controlled by Afren plc. Also, Guvnor may have only been given till 17th to make a bid and we all wonder how that can be done in such a short space of time. However what we dont know is how long they have already been talking to the company before now under non disclousrd agreements. So much we dont know

The cash all goes to pay off debt. But as Guvnor are not an indigenous Nigerian company, they may fall foul of the change of control legislation. To avoid that they may have to buy Afren Plc, (us and our shares), which means they have to pay us a price for our shares. Then they spend the rest of their money restructuring and paying down debt, by which time we will not own any of the company. All speculation of course. I do to want anyone to think there is a pot of gold anywhere. Odd are stacked heavily against shareholders. My personal views only.

Hi andy. I wasnt dictating what people can say on a BB. If it came over as that it was not intended. I was trying to say that if anyone has any allegation, they should support it with some evidence then send it to ALAG. They can then collate and co-ordinate it all to form a case in a much more useful way. I used jester simply as a way to illustrate what I had said in my previous post. I did apologise to him in case he thought I was having a go. I was really trying to help. I support ALAG and I think they are standing up for SHs. I see things in their strategy that I would do differently, but we all have different views on all this. I would rather leave them to get on with the job they are doing rather than be one of the "what you should be doing is.... " brigade. I have suffered enough of that on my watch. There can only be one captain on a ship. Wish you all well.

Hi Ldlv. You make some good points about the administrators and blackstones. You need to address the points you say on here direct with the administrators, which im sure you are doing. You mentioned before that you would be meeting with the Administrators. Do you have a meeting scheduled with them yet? Just one thought learnt from my own experience.... you may find them more inclined to tallk to you when you are not waving a big stick over their heads (various accusations and inferences of inappropriate behaviour). I know you always disagreed with our "polite" approach. I hope your "firmer" method works for you. Good luck in what you are doing. You now carry the torch.

Hi Jester. Your enthusiasm is great but your words will make you a bad witness. Forgive me for teaching you to suck eggs, but you illustrated what I said in my last post. "All involved... old bod... new bod". Those words are meaningless. You need to say "these individuals are guilty because they did this that and the other, as demonstrated by these facts......". You say you believe there is oil in barder rash. How do you know that? All meaningless. Now if you could say you been out therevand looked down the pipe and saw the oil, then thats evidence. "Steal the company"..... Who, how what did they take. Facts and evidence needed. Dont stop your crusade Jester, just put accusations togethervwith facts. ALAG can then use it. Not having a go.. just some comments that might help.

Hi guys. Im still here watching lol. I still see lots of postings about every one is guilty of something, what various people should have done and what the authorities may or may not do. Sometimes just wild accusations. I know from my own experience on ASOG thay there can be many varied scenarios and you can bet none of them are right. May I offer a suggestion. Instead of plucking things out of the air, anyone that wishes to pursue an issue of wrong doing that they can substantiate with evidence, actual or circumstantial, they draft a concise email with all the facts and send it to Legal Acrion Group. It is very hard for them to pick up meaningfull issues from online postings. You need to let ALAG co-ordinate and build a case. But you need to provide the evidence. Its no good saying "they were all theives (allegedly) judge". You need to say "certain individuals were theives (allegedly) because they did these things and here is the evidence that shows that. No good just saying all the money went so they must have stollen it (allegdly). Let the legal teams put all that together but give them hard facts. What im saying is dont just throw wild allegations around. Feed them to the legal team together with the relative evidence. If my view is worth anything you need to find a link connecting wrong doing with the BHs and Blackstones. I dont know if that link exists but they are the only ones in this sad story that have deep pockets. Good luck to all of you.

Ldlv.... Unless Afren is in breach of Stock exchange terms and are in default then there may be a summary delisting because of that.... eg admin, insolvency insuficient funds to pay LSE fees etc. I don know and cant find that anywhere but it seems logical that a compsny can delist voluntarily or be delisted compulsarily. See if you can find that anywhere.

Hi Ldlv, interesting link, but probably not the whole story. if a company in unable to comply with the fee rules because is has no money, as in admin or liquidation, and it cant pay the fees, on the basis of that rule the company would remain listed for ever because fees are not paid. There must be another rule somewhere that if the company fails to pay its fees it is de-listed by the stock exchange, but i cant find that.

Hi andydiff. How long will it be before you turn against your new found friends at ALAG. No problem with you supporting them. Theybare doing good. They may well get a result. But for how long will you be their fair weather friend? How long before you turn on them? This was posted here on 14th June, a mere 11 days before the AGM.... it was reported back to me... "Tony...you read the lse bb....andydiff said tonight you are a 'hero'. many people think the same.". Now relegated to devil it seems, or do we only believe your stance in months with a J in the name.
