It just shows you how even big companies can be played with just a few million quid to move the SP up or down, when they're at the precipice. Shorting hedge funds taking the P have been burned by Neset and he has profited nicely.
Neset had 123 million of these 'Golden Tickets' - he could be nominated for trader of the year contest. LOL!
That´s over 1% of the shares sold right there in one trade - TR1 coming.
Neset, the Turkish Delight probably top slicing.
He's a Turkish delight at the moment for all holders. As I say, the BOD need to RNS something quick to say yay or nay.
Red, that's what happens when you read through rose tinted glasses, everything always looks rosy. Alternatively -
“We believe Thomas Cook has more value and potential than what is being discussed recently, particularly with the skillset and complementary capabilities Anex Tour shall put forward,” Kockar said in an emailed statement on Friday, referring to his own travel company.”
That is shorthand for ‘we are showing an interest to pump the stock, which in reality we have no chance of getting it through with the debtors’.
He's said nothing of the sort, he said the shares were undervalued, he's already 50% up I reckon on his investment. Sell off now happening before the close for the weekend. Peter Funkhouse needs to RNS what TCG thinks of it all.
Well, after today's rise and yesterday's rise, the market deserves some response from the CEO, Peter Frankenstein
“We believe Thomas Cook has more value and potential than what is being discussed recently, particularly with the skillset and complementary capabilities Anex Tour shall put forward,” Kockar said in an emailed statement on Friday, referring to his own travel company.
'Thomas Cook declined to comment on Kockar’s statement.' maybe they should put out an RNS then.

Red, you don't need me to remind you of the debt here. Neset has no intention of any serious offer, he couldn't afford it as a bid would need to account for the debt.
He's not going to make a bid, he's playing the hedge funds buying huge amounts quickly forcing the price up. Other retail investors helping him to profit. It will all eventually end in tears though. Get in and out and be lucky.
Shorts rushed to close and now dumping the stock they bought
Wouldn't you if you had made a 50% gain on £7 million in a few days?
10p coming. This is a proper short squeeze on the big hedge funds. Well done Neset.
Neset as of 1st August owns 8% of TCG or around 123 million shares. That's at least £7 million he's invested.
If Neset can help bump the SP to 10p+, the shorts will be sweating (Whitebox 3.44% short and TT International 3.25% short) and there maybe a squeeze.
I feel that this is only a punt for him to make himself a quick profit rather than making a bid, he seems to be doing nicely so far - Money talks.

Investors are probably being cautious at the moment until the rainy season is over. August is the wettest month, dropping off quite sharply in October and back to dry season in November. This should see a big rise from then if no flooding.
