Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
Thanks Geeman. I am now in positive territory - my portfolio is now up (been a long time to see this). I am now heavily loaded with MMAG though, but happy with it.
I added more MMAG today, £6k’s worth of shares and the SP closed above my add. Looking at the chart is going to be a very good day for MMAG tomorrow :)
I see your stocks are beginning to move and hopefully they’ll move enough to put you in positive portfolio territory soon, fingers crossed. For Wyn too.
Life is strange though. Now that my fortunes in the markets begun to change I received bad news before New Year, was diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Fortunately early stage and there is a curative solution. Will be undergoing bowel surgery at the end of the month and may disappear for a while.
I don’t know how old you guys are but my cancer was diagnosed during routine bowel cancer test that came through the post. I followed the instructions and sent it back and within two weeks they contacted me with the results. They usually send these tests to the over 50’s. My advice to all is if they are sent these by post is to do the test and return it, is free and can save lives, I had no symptoms.
Hi Geeeman, yes, MMAG has been great for me so far and hopefully it will continue as I am expecting to do. At this level (36p) MMAG is recovering all of my Eve and Angus losses. At 38p is recovering all the losses. I ever made and I am then in positive territory with net portfolio gain.
I do hope that one of your stocks does do a runner mate, you deserve it. All I hear is good reports about AVCT and hopefully they will come up with positive results, is expected to multibag from here. HEMO & IQ-AI look good too, both just taken off from lows and previously peaked at 15/20p. With a bit of luck all three will multibag. Fingers crossed.
Hi Wyn, I am relaxed with MMAG too, it can carry on going or retrieve a bit. I am not selling down at this level and not looking to trade it either, too risky due to spread and offers given. Risky to be left out that is. I am adding instead.
Stocks do sometimes defy gravity by consolidating on the move. If MMAG closes at 38p or higher then we have a high price gapping play (consolidating on the high) which is very bullish. Is only 1PM, so there is still time to push the SP up back up above 38p :)
Morning Geeeman, Hemogenics doing well too. Was on my watch but never had a chance to jump on. Put nearly all my cash in to MMAG :)
Good luck mate, we deserve a good run after the Eve fiasco.
Hi Wyn, so we both topped up on the drop :)
45-50p is a good target but mine is much higher. I believe MMAG will be in the ££s in the coming months. Was at £2 at the IPO and is now in much much stronger position. With good news and a bit of FOMO it should make real big moves. Also, the higher up the SP goes the bigger the move on the same volume, but each to their own risk taking.
Good luck to us.
Wyn, that was a good call on MMAG - the retrace to 30.5p.
I bought another £2k’s worth below 31p. id you trade some?
Not me haven’t sold a single share yet. When we get to the IPO price I might sell a little bit.
Wyn, well done. Your 30.5p retrace prediction looks spot on. With the explosive news we had yesterday I was not expecting this but shows the power of the technicals eh? Attempting to trade it though is still risky IMO.
Excellent Wyn, good luck to all o us..
I added too last week … and the week before … and … :)
Heath field, exactly my sentiment. I am not risking trading this, in fact I add as cash becomes available.
MMAG is in the right field to take advantage of the cost of living crisis and environmental drives (recycling). I mentioned this before, MMAG reminds my of the Amazon early days when they were just selling books and were expanding. I then sold 1,500 shares at $25, only to see the SP turn back up and eventually reach a dizzying $3,500 a share - that is potential gain of $5++ mil had I held.
I am not saying that MMAG will be an Amazon but the CEO is confident that MMAG will be a £1 Billion MCap company within the next 3 to 5 years … that is ~£10 per share.
I am expecting MMAG to be at or very close to IPO price of £2 this year.
MMAG has 108 million shares in issue and approximately three quarters of it is held by insiders and big institutions.. The number of shares in issue is effectively the same as at IPO..They have a £30 mil revolving credit facility and a placing (with dilution) to raise money is extremely unlikely. The company is on the turn for the better. The SP can only improve.
All - My views DYOR.
Hi Wyn, I agree with you 100% - shares never go up in a straight line. The point I am making is that if the SP closes on the day’s high it indicates that momentum is still strong so a pull back may happen at higher level. Either outcome though is still possible but fingers crossed a pullback higher up. The 200-DMA is at 40+p …hopefully it will get to that before a small retrace.
My new iPad keyboard is playing up … 3 to 5 years
