Time for a change in approach to market expectations. Time for focused operations. Nick, no shares have been forward sold in this case. If you look at the RNS and the trading activity you will confirm this.

The placing RNS came out on the 6th of May for a placing of 153.8 million shares to be admitted to trading on AIM on the 12th May.

From the 6th to 11th May there was effectively no volume, then the volume hit from the 12th May (day of admission to trading on AIM) onwards.

All shares sold in to the market. We don’t know how many shares Monecor currently holds as there was no recent TR-1 filing. What we do know is that at COB 21 May they were holding 41.9 million shares - we since traded well in excess of seven times this amount.

Monecor is not an investor, they are a broker and therefore they will sell all those shares.

They sold most of those shares with a hefty profit and IMO they can afford to wait to sell all with a profit. They could of course sell some below placing SP (0.325p) to clear them out, but why do that?

The placing is handled by Monecor. They sell the shares in to the market. Last TR-1 indicated that they had 41.9 million shares left as at COB 21 May.

Congratulate Alba for KILLING the SP?

There is only one thing that matters in AIM investing — the value of the SP. The value of the SP indicates success or failure.

By all accounts the SP should have been at least 3-bags higher and is not.

Why is the SP not higher?

Reasons for the SP rot:

- Excessive management of expectations and not paying attention to market sentiment

- Downplaying results and delaying last year’s bulk sample assays (which ironically when announced turned out to be excellent).

- Taking too long to tune up the pilot plant (even though it was supposed to be in operation last Dec, then last Jan but turned out to be April)

- Not pushing for early revenue generation early enough.

- Not showing gold after spending well over a year in a gold mine, drilling and sampling (in 1979 two guys, one of them a priest, opened the mine and were extracting gold and producing commercial jewellery within the same year)

- Now, announcing the GL spin out at a time of zero sentiment, putting extra pressure on the SP (even though the spin out is a good thing)

SP … SP … SP … is what matters. What would happen to the SP if we get hit with another placing from this level? Four or five years ago I bought Alba at 0.75p … will we ever see this level again without consolidation? I am beginning to doubt it.

Gulable, in all likelihood they are breaking AIM rules. The fact they did not file a TR-1 knocked the SP off. If they don’t file one this week I may contact AIM Regulation.

Mark, IMO and I maybe wrong but I don’t think so, the Greenland spinout will not affect the Alba SP.

I am beginning to worry now about Alba SP appreciation - I don’t think GF has it in him to drive the SP up. Right now, the SP will go up on gold news and nothing else. Will also need sentiment support and GF has already proven that he is incapable of providing that.

GF should have given 99% of his attention on early revenue generation as well as showing some gold. Is unforgivable that he has not expended more energy on early revenue generation from the waste pits - this would have taken placing fears away. A showing of gold would boost sentiment enormously.

I hope he comes up with an update on early revenue generation soon and before any more Greenland updates since the latter, as we have seen from today’s RNS have no impact on the SP now. In fact, IMO, any more Greenland updates before gold up[date may knock the SP off.

Monecor appears to be late in filing a TR-1 and this negatively impacts the share price.

Last TR-1 was filed on the 24 May. In this they indicated that they crossed the 5% threshold on 21 May and they had 41,865,385 (41.9 million) shares left, 4.808%

It will take a mere 7.8 million shares (0.9% of 870.8 million float) for Monecor to cross the 4% threshold and have to file a TR-1, yes … when they sell 7.8 million shares or more they have to file another TR-1, normally within 2 or 3 trading days.

Since last TR-1, between 22 May & 11 June (last Friday) we traded in excess of 320 million shares … surely they sold at least 7.8 million in to this volume?

They do appear to be breaking AIM rules. Worth contacting AIM Regulation on this?

To propel the SP up?

Any other company issuing today’s RNS in all likelihood would have caused the SP to substantially move up. Here, at Alba, more than 40 minutes of trading and not even 1 million shares exchanged hands!

The killing of sentiment here is very impressive, not every CEO can manage this.

The market is looking for GOLD … is time GF understands that.

We are still waiting for an update on confirmation of early revenue generation promised for the middle of last month - where is it?

Mark, last years bulk samples (as per RNS & GF statements) were supposed to be assayed at the end of Q1 2021.

Come April this year, GF decided to downplay the expected assay results and delay the assaying. Lethal mistake – when this RNS hit the markets the SP tanked, it broke a very very strong support level at 0.3p. As a result of sentiment loss (add no gold showing after all this time in a Gold mine), this 0.3p level has now turned in to an extremely strong resistance.

Ironically, last years bulk sample assay results were recently announced and were excellent. The SP popped its head above 0.3p and was quickly repelled back down.

Last year’s bulk sample assay fiasco are responsible for breaking the SP’s back. Now it will take something huge to recover … like showing of gold or early revenue generation from the waste pits. These have the potential to reverse the SP rot … but do you trust GF to pay attention to market sentiment/expectations and handle this efficiently?

Degsie, I WILL (after 5+ years) SELL and move on on the next spike.

BTW, have I stated anything in the last post which is wrong? Or not a fact?

Volume is really booming now … 1.7 million shares traded within 45 minutes of opening.

Mark, you nailed it. The problem with the SP rot is GF, as I posted on numerous occasions;

Poor management of expectations, failure to pay attention to market sentiment, unfocused operations - promising bulk sample assay results end Q1 then delaying them, promising pilot plant in operation last Dec, then Jan, then … taking too long to set up (tune up), promising confirmation of early revenue generation from waste pits in the middle of last month … we are still waiting for update.

Failure to show any gold or gold concentrate after all this time of drilling and sampling IN A GOLD MINE.

In 1979, two guys (one of them a priest) opened the gold mine and they were extracting gold and producing and selling commercial welsh gold IN THE SAME YEAR. WTF is Alba doing in the mine? Well over a year in there and no show? - unforgivable.

At the end of the day what really matters is the value of the SP and is obvious by now that plain talk about lodes and veins doesn’t cut it. The market needs to see. Market sentiment needs to be fed. One would be forgiven for thinking that GF would have learned this by now.

That RNS issued at trading close yesterday (what a stupid time to issue an RNS) is received very well by the market. You can let go of your hats!

They can pay attention to market sentiment. They can show some gold … some gold concentrate.

They can focus on their operations taking account of market expectations … the handling of last years bulk samples severely dented sentiment and thus the SP rot, is unforgivable. The pilot plant should have started on time, it tool too long to tune up.

The SP rot is 100% down to poor management of expectations, unfocused operations (e.g. bulk sample fiasco, early revenue generation, pilot plant handling, etc) and most of all not paying attention to market sentiment.

What difference does the price of gold make to Alba’s SP? None - Alba hasn’t got any gold yet and who knows when they will have some.

They have been in the gold mine for well over a year - we haven’t seen a piece of gold yet … we haven’t seen a piece of concentrate yet - it is unforgivable.

Since last TR-1 where they indicated about 41 million shares left we traded more than seven times that - plenty of volume to sell into.

We are now back down to near placing SP. If is not mainly Monecor doing the selling down here then who is it? IMO they are late in TR-1 filing.
