When I read these boards I'm always impressed by how confident some people are when they talk about the commercial world of pharma or oil or whatever sector is relevant. I work in the fitness industry so I don't have that understanding or confidence. I am OK about being a pure FOMO punter who tries to hold his nerve and make long-term plays. And I never take those who complain (or those who ramp) very seriously unless they have a way of proving to me - and to date it is never actually happened, not even once - that they work in finance (as perhaps an analyst) or work in pharma. Bring on the noise. It never seems to stop.

Sorry to sound so happy about the dilution. Granted I bought a lot at 9p - but I think was buying at 15p as well. But I just can't see the dilution so much as the potential.

Yes my Dad worked for a big pharma. Retired now. I have never troubled him with the ins and outs of Synairgen. He did tell me that when he meets up with his old muckers, all senior people, all retired, some of them PHDs - none of them like Covid - they are unsettled by it. They are not at peace with this virus - it doesn't give them sleepless nights, but from the data they've seen - they don't like it. I think we heard the same from Richard Marsden that way behind the scenes there is still some concern about this virus.

I added yesterday. And today. And just read the RNS. And I really don't feel anything other than positive. Perhaps others feel differently. There's a lot in there - a lot to digest - but many elements seemed very positive to me. Here's one...

Thanks Tommy. Its helpful to hear about the wider/related field. I still think this is a bit undervalued, but I don't work in the industry so my opinion is not really worth anything on that subject - I will be adding again - as Sativa noted they will needs funds at some point, but most on here think they have enough £ for some trials.

I sometimes doubt people are capable of carefully planning anything. But who knows. Thing is there's a lot of stuff on X today that makes a favorable case for Synairgen - bit of panic about virus in China etc and some miserable science papers about kids (maybe adults as well) that says repeated Covid infections makes them more vulnerable to RSVs - that should trigger a few buys over here. so pump or no pump that material is what it is.

i've totally given up trying to understand what is going on here, what will go on or anything really. I just buy very small tranches whenever its cheap.

Gold juniors?

my hnw friend likes shg - he can't believe its never moved. must be waiting for whenever juniors get some action Michael Gentile, the strategic investor in Canada is saying gold juniors should have a very good 2024 - Gentile is saying the same as Portfolio Power - about the way things will move, first the big ones and then the juniors - and the juniors have a lot of upside from current valuations.

over in Canada/US the gold juniors with massive resources that I like are Arizona Metals (gold and copper) and Radisson Mining (er gold). Arizona has a seller, of late - so its bargain basement time for a resource so big and so cheap to access its probably going to be bought out.

I don't have any UK/AIM gold juniors - think I will start with SHG. unless anyone over here says something else is better.

There's a few science bods who don't hold with the 'immunity debt' argument - apparently it may not hold water if you look at the data regarding China, lockdowns etc. For some reason people are just more vulnerable, all of a sudden, to respiratory illness? In US as well. All beyond me - I'm not a science or data professional.

Not to mention the fact that TFG Asset Mgmt still hold 28.2% of the company - its long been suspected (by holders of SNG) that TFG might engineer a buyout. I can't remember what their average is....50P £1? SP is a long way from that.

This company actually deserves a few ramp posts. There's £ in the bank. Small trials coming (and paid for, we have been told). A quiet connection with Janssen - who also have an interest in RSV - and a long, slow back-story that connects with COPD. The sp should never have fallen this low. So let us see.

19p? could be anything. Don't think I have a seen a broker's note or analysis about potential value of SNG as a niche drug for respiratory viruses or COPD.

I don't know much about nickel or nickel sulphate? Is that the more valuable version - apparently PNRL have got a lot of it, like a really spectacular, very rare resource - company name is Premium Nickel. -SP up at the moment as they just released some news re grades or rocks. There's a few mining experts on Twitter (not punters like me but real bods who own mines) looking at the pics and getting excited about the geology. Sold all my PNRL last time it went up but after reading those bods on Twitter, some of them clearly know their stuff - I'll start adding again.

COPD was in the b/g as far back as the Astra Zeneca agreement for severe asthma - but interesting today - this publication and the ask/sp going up - and no shortage of Covid data on X and mainstream outlets talking about respiratory illnesses etc. So interesting moment here. Lets see the sp hit 19p by the end of next week.

but obviously respiratory viruses are in the news at the moment. over in japan shionogi is continuing with its covid drug - away from the glaring light of all....some of us are still here....

But if they do get a positive result from the trial - the multiples/returns on this stock will be insane.

I like the sound of that locust protein cake. always interested in different sources of protein. i love the taste of meat but struggle with the whole abattoir thing. its too violent for my sensitive nature. but for whatever reason I don't care about insect's feelings. or at least don't care that much.

anyway off 2 work (part-time).

One of my gfs friends hasn't been back to the office (top non-Western bank) - her friend has been very ill BUT she can work from home. GF was saying years ago her friend would have had to quit - these days she can work from home.
