With his capital markets background and vast experience with off-shore projects Dr. Richard Mays is an ideal candidate for this role and COPL is delighted to retain an executive of his calibre. Dr. Richard Mays is a qualified solicitor in Scotland and has served in several senior roles in the oil and gas industry. Until its recent sale to Impact Oil and Gas Limited, he served as Executive Chairman of Black Star Petroleum plc. He was formerly General Counsel and Director at DEO Petroleum plc, Executive Chairman of Peppercoast Petroleum plc and Vice President Commercial (Operations) at Oilexco North Sea Limited. He has provided consultancy and training services to a large number of oil and gas sector businesses. Richard is also a former Professor of Law and Deputy Dean of the Aberdeen business school.
Sh*t or bust in relation to the SP will fall back to .20s if it’s a duster. Only short term mind, as there will be opportunities for other drills (more funding needed). Hopeful rather than bullish personally but I’m excited to find out the results as if this is successful it’s 10 bags minimum.
The chairman believe they will have results first week of June, 2nd week at the latest. Straightforward drill in calm waters, soft clay then the hard stuff which is essential to cap it.
Thought it was a very exciting interview, huge potential. Some risk but big positive to take out of it for me, if this isn’t successful, they plan to try again nearby.
