That seven boar is awesome mate. But very dangerous especially at night. Long time ago (about 25 years) two old elver fishermen had their boat smashed against the weir in Gloucester. One lost his life as it was a 10.6 tide that day/night. Found the body 2 miles upstream. When I took the wife and kids to see the boar in daytime. She went made and said I not to go elver fishing again. Only done it for her and the kids for extra money. The shad also go up the river wye, but not as much as used to. Not heard of any for years. Early night for me as promised grandkids I would take them to elan valley damn,s . Beautiful place to visit. Laters
