Bp now in a tough place, vulnerable share price and public awareness of majors circling for potential bid / Take over.

Whilst the sp remains low BP is a now a clear target.

This puts the company in an interesting position, if it wants to avoid a hostile or aggressive bidding, then they have to make some big moves quickly otherwise investors will be willing to agree a price that is competitive especially if BP is unable to provide a clear roadmap for success.

Has anyone looked into a fair or conservative PE ratio here. ITM is starting to feel very undervalued.. if it manages to turn a profit and with the sort of orders that are coming in, and looking at the factory capacity they are making…

Doesn’t seem to be much, if anything priced in here. Yet there seems to be alot of momentum.

If there was no way they wouldn’t be looking into it would they… of course there’s a chance that’s just point blank ridiculous to say when literally Shell have said they are taking advice and looking into taking over the company.

If they choose to or not depends on a variety of factors. But there’s not been a better time to make a bid so it’s pretty clear to see that they are considering it.

This is not a rumour. Shell is looking at taking over BP.

But it’s far from a certainty. But it could make for an interesting week or two!

No easy task taking over a major, and would place shell in Exxon value. Bp is prime for a takeover and I for one would vote yes for anything around £5.

The time for Shell to acquire BP is now. If Elliot manages to regain value then BP will be more expensive to get.

But the flip side is Majors may well be looking to keep a steady ship without taking risks.

Saying that. If I was upper management at Shell, I would be looking to make the most of the current weakness.

Sitting on a substantial loss here after the Bosch exit.. was very confident with this stock but finding it a mixed bag positivity wise, how are LTH feeling long term about regaining some lost ground here and the chances of us getting a new partner or some other positives

Feels like a sleeping giant. Just needs some concrete news and importantly more cash / profit generation. But in this difficult climate there does seem to be a large amount of positives here long term.

Once this ( hopefully ) starts scaling up, and there seems to be many indications of this happening then things could improve here substantially!

Confident in the leadership and management, just needs a few more driving forces and perhaps £1 plus could be achieved sooner than later. Certainly feels like it’s possible at least.

Before the Trump saga and the acquisition this seemed primed for 400. But I can’t see why 350-400 or more is unrealistic.

Not much going on to drive sentiment though current. Be nice to get some new traction.

Not sure what they will do though or how they will address getting the sp back into positive momentum.

I must say BP really does feel on the edge. Lost and no clear direction, only strength is the ability to weather low Brent prices but that’s not going to help the mounting debt pile.

Currently at this current rate of decline and instability this is primed for takeover or worse imo. Invested so not looking for a lower buy in. But avatars is higher and not seeing much inspiration / positivity for this currently.

Need better leadership. Cutting back on green energy was a big mistake long term imo. A big mistake. Needs to have a balanced portfolio of energy sources to survive imo.

Good to see the divi remaining. I expect that’s the only reason people continue to hold this.

Needs some serious and drastic changes here.

I hope so!!! A takeover is our only help for this dog. Absolutely awful management, it’s very very clear the company is too big and too many managers / senior staff are just milking a salary.

This company seems lost. Needs proper management, fire the parasites and vultures and drop the dead weight and get things back on track. Bought this as a long term dividend stock but to be honest at the moment there is nothing I like about this company.

Would love to see a takeover here anything above 450-500 I’m sure would be approved by many now.

Shame, as was hoping to see some strong UK business but seems not.

Good to see blue again after yesterday’s excellent news, imo there are no indications that the 500mw order will be reduced and would provide significant uplift if coupled with others like it. It’s great we are not reliant on the US market and Europe is showing strong demand and growth for hydrogen even with Trumps negative impacts. There will be difficulties because of it but the company is showing strong resilience which is comforting.. while there are cut-backs, delays and cancellations. ITM is making strong steps to building on the recent drop to sub 30p.

It’s my opinion that the current global difficulties are actually further streamlining a company who is already incredibly detailed and knowledgeable to become even more so surgical with their business model moving towards.

Company not run badly. Bid, for the price was too much and too risky. It also sank the share price before the market moved downwards. But agree this could easily be trading around 300. Unfortunately with so much global commotion just have to sit it out and see how the company navigates current global economic issues.
