i do not wallow in the demise of this great company,far from it.....as a posty/investor i used to have respect for the management and pride in the job, go the extra mile and take everything as a challenge.... now i have lost it all and i am not in the minority......think on before you buy the little falls as you call it because you going to get one big fall soon if the board don't come to the table.....

the loaf i agree. but if you got in at whatever price then something is better than nothing....half a loaf is better than the crust....

anger... could have been easily avoided....you cannot rip contracts up and expect no reaction..... the board giving money away on divis and share buy back on the back of a fluke pandemic that tripled the profits.... no insight to look forward and try and agree a way forward....look this company thought they could bend us over and smack our bums... how wrong they are.... see my previous post about jobs..... how many there are and pay.... we are not far off minimum wage mate and the very casuals they employ to replace us are now finding out.....to put it to rest i will say one thing......if you want a gig economy and workforce then be prepared for a high volume turnover of staff.... royal mail will never last unless they pay the right money and endorse the contracts. dont forget,many staff was sold on royal mail as family friendly(ie being able to work while kids at school) they renaged on that and those people will leave and join the long list on benefits or go elsewhere.... thus more people on dole means higher wages for those in work and those looking for work as you need a workforce.....

bad news for investors if the ceo doesn't come to the table now..... its already quiet for the time of year. traffic is low,moral is low. customers going elsewhere in droves and after todays ballot will mor be looking to go elsewhere? i think so....its not gloating as jobs are at risk.... this could and should have been avoided.....

pauly oh pauly oh pauly................have a look at the jobs stats at present...... 1.5m unemployed... @1m not interested/unemployable.. and 1.9m vacancies...... minimum wage £10.50 from april.... youth that wants to play on x box and live the life from the bank of mum dad.....i could go on.....we wouldn't struggle mate

pauly70.. behave mate.... when you behave as IDS/RMG have i would rather look for another job than work for them!!!!!!!!! oops some have by the way as the attrition the ceo wanted /planned for has gone way above his 10%... now agency workers are leaving as their rate of £18 per hour on weekends has now gone to £12.. and now they are walking.......happy days....

mary darling you really have not got a clue to this dispute have you? as a shareholder looking for 400 to make money then why should you!!! you state " As well as improving its offer to workers, Royal Mail says it has promised more generous redundancy terms and a profit-sharing scheme." no it has not!!!!! its reduced the contracted payment and t&cs for redundancy and everything else....its improved offer is a joke..... negotiations on pay started feb2022... 2% imposed aug 2022. 2% bonus unacheivable even they do not know how to acheive it.... £500 payment pro rata worth 3% but not on salary so worthless in the long run... final offer up to 9% so they say and not backdated....in real terms pay cut.... look i am a baby bath posty darling, what would i know...

Anger in some respect i agree,,,, but you cannot give contracts out that are signed from both sides and then change them......if i was to say i am doing XYZ, royal mail would say you are fired and quite rightly so.... change my contract and make me redundant and give me the option......would you agree?
