I suspect:
1. Legal advice
2. To ensure as good as possible working relationship is maintained.
3. Maybe to stop Peel fence sitting now knowing there are maybe other options opening up around the world for PHE. Your in or your out.
4. Cost of money/borrowings.

Cureboy 16:57 today.
No it doesn't.
PHE need to get some of the potential converted into reality. IMO it has been treading water for far too long. BOD taking back control is what was needed all along. It needs one operational plant. Are the team good enough to find the finance without major dilution of shares? I'm not sure. Should PHE be relying on HUI or Peel? certainly not.

Hi Dr.A,
Thank-you for your reply.

Dr A
I asked you a couple of questions back on the 20th March 2023. As yet these questions remain un-answered although MJAllen was kind enough to respond to some financial information.
AS you have contact with those close to the project I again ask:
1. I understand that the Whites bringing their ownership levels below 20% was due to contractual issues relating to their levels of PHE involvement. Do you know if by bringing their ownership below the magic 20% are they now able to action a takeover of PHE?
2. Is the Peel option transferable? Could the Whites either buy, sell or be gifted the option by Peel thereby financing PHE with cash to then take their ownership back up to 29.9% and providing PHE with enough finance to get the Peel project or somewhere else up and running?

In the past the UK Government and its departments have considered Icebergs for a number of reasons. Two interesting ones:
1. WWII, could they be used as aircraft carriers.
2. 80's - 90's - Was it feasible to tow an iceberg to the UK to alleviate a summer water shortage during drought conditions.

Mjallen, Thank-you, it is always good to obtain someone else's opinion.
I had estimated between £2.75-3.3m so not that far different. Your upper and lower levels are far more precise than mine and I haven't allowed for any potential trading within the reporting boundary triggering TR1 if it had occurred.
So this appears to be a long way short of the Peel offering but is it sufficient moneys to plug a financing gap that is delaying any start? Dr A, please can you shed further light on the questions raised in this and my previous email.
Thanks

Good Afternoon Dr.A. Good to see you are still posting on here
Please can you answer a couple of question on the White consortium for me and I apologise if they have been asked before but I may have missed the answer.
I understand that the Whites bringing their ownership levels below 20% was due to contractual issues relating to their levels of PHE involvement. Do you know if by bringing their ownership below the magic 20% are they now able to action a takeover of PHE? If they have been selling shares from the peak c. 10p then they will have converted a large value into cash. Have you any idea how many millions they will have made in GB£?
Have you asked what their intention is to do with this cash and any implications to PI's?
Another question, is the Peel option transferable so could the Whites either buy, sell or be gifted the option by Peel thereby financing PHE with cash to then take their ownership back up to 29.9% and providing PHE with enough finance to get the project at Peel or somewhere else up and running?
I look forward to any insight you may have on this.

MJA - Hydroponic and aquaponic systems being set up adjacent to PHE units was raised a number of years ago. Vertical farming to me is all part of that side of a business that is complimentary to the use of DMG outputs.
I have been looking back at my stream of emails and contacts with PHE over the last 5-6 years and can only sigh with frustration. Through no fault of KR as far as I can tell , the ZM interview indicated that the classification of hydrogen by the UK Govt is unclear or at least inadequate. The potential leads to sort this were put on the table years ago but I have no idea whether they were ever followed up. I repeat that it is so frustrating that this is still an issue.

The RNS was very clear and explained exactly what the appointment was for.
This appointment gave me the visibility of future activity timelines. If you believe it as I do, then this is fantastic news as it indicates confidence in the future operations and anticipated outputs.
Alba, have you unintentionally just 'let the cat out of the bag'?
Wolves
Prentice, thank-you for drawing my attention to it. I will watch it tonight with interest.

I think the RNS is very clear, nothing is off the table. From the RNS it appears that there is no intention to have a single partner but multiple ways to market and hopefully at the very high end where margins are greater.
As per the RNS:
'Vivien's role with Alba will be wide-ranging, encompassing the fostering of partnerships and offtake discussions with jewellery brands, manufacturers, and designers; managing stakeholder relationships, including harnessing the already considerable support for the Mine within the local community; and supporting Alba's planning process towards permission for full-scale commercial production at Clogau. A key aspect of her role will be to devise and pilot a provenance-proofed, traceable "mine-to-market" supply chain for gold produced at Clogau, which will underpin the Company's ability to command a premium price for its products.'
Self explanatory and IMO a good RNS.

There are also a number of historic workings in South Wales. It is unlikely that those reserves have been exhausted and there is probably still untapped reserves to be discovered.

There is certainly a number of weekend and holiday panners looking for gold up in those hills and the tributaries of the Afon Mawddach. I'm not sure how legal it is though. They would have difficulty in selling the gold as being Welsh in origin due to any real evidence of where it came from regarding certification and authentication.
The Parys mine would however not have the same issues regarding certification and with the correct marketing and scarcity could actually afford a separate premium from other Welsh gold sources. The Druids gold!

I can't imagine NRW doing a deal, for WR & WQ they are a regulatory organisation. They will have provided guidance though.

Reading for the inquisitive who wish to soak up knowledge regarding Welsh metal mines and the Environment.
'Metal mines strategy for Wales Executive summary' An interesting document by Environment Agency Wales (now NRW) issued in 2002 but still relevant. How many of the mines in the top 50 are sited within the Alba area of economic interest?
NRW 2022/23 Business Plan states:
'deliver the next phase of the Metal Mines Remediation Programme to deal with the legacy of contaminated land, impacts on water quality and mine hazards'.
Does St. David's / Clagau start as a low risk site? I'll let you draw your own conclusions as to how it may effect permitting.

elir71 post today 06:51. I agree with you on this but the most interesting part of the RNS to me was 'payment of option fees in respect of potential new, value-enhancing project acquisitions'. Something already in mind , maybe with a tight timescale for agreement hence the timing?

NRW service levels for Water Resources Abstraction is 4 months if advertised, 3 months if not advertised (Statutory)
and
Water Resources Impoundment states 4 months if advertised, 3 months if not advertised (Statutory).
If it is determined on another basis there could be different service levels.
The site also states:
'If you need an application determined in less than the timescales in Table 1, then please discuss this with us at the time of submission.
We recommend that you apply for permits in good time (ideally having sought pre-application advice from us), with all the necessary information and have regard for the determination timescales. Applications that are complex, have a high level of public interest, or potentially impact on a sensitive location may require a longer period to determine than that set out in Table 1.'
Can anyone clarify if this will need to be advertised and go out for public comment again?

Improved databases.
Local habitats sustainable or improved.
Agreed way forward.
Good relationships.
Potential improvements in social and economic impacts
Financial return to the UK Government.
I suspect that NRW will be looking to produce its three latest big wins in the December quarterly report to the Welsh Assembly. Based on this I think that the first item on that report should be:
Clagau St David Gold Mine - Ensured the protection of endangered species and the environment whilst enabling the re-opening of the Clagau St. David gold mine for further exploration. Benefits include.........
Thats IMO only and should not be taken as the actual outcome.

Thanks LZ.
Are you intending coming to the AGM?
