From a territory point of view it would have been extremely complex to include the ROW (which covers multiple countries) in the C11. The ROW debt was paid off by the DIP lenders because the ROW would have been in default as soon as the group entered chapter 11 and the ROW wouldn't have had the automatic stay the C11 companies have.

LTH - you’ve got to be careful with this. There’s a timetable in place which needs to be kept to otherwise the DIP cash will run out.

Mr Kioto - I still think 1) is the most likely scenario. The questions being what stake will existing holders have in newco, will newco be a private company and does the creation of newco put the cineplex claim to bed once and for all.

The interesting parties in this it terms of how much power will they have I’m the process is the large unsecured creditors - BNY melon and Cineplex but also the landlords who are vital to the continuity of the business going forwards.

HNS - the problem is they've ran out of cash. So if the lenders re-financed the current debt and extended it out the company still needs a working capital injection to let the rest of the recovery play out and become self sufficient again.

That's before you even bring the CP claim onto the mix as well.

If I'm reading that Deadline article correct it looks like there's more interest in the ROW business than Regal and UK. Hexam has mentioned a few times that it outperforms the rest of the world.

Hexam - if you look at the broker ratings on here the 40p went back to March 2022 from JPM.

Hi Emerald - I always thought it was the large volume that swung the price higher or lower either way. Not the shorters potentially having a fanny fart at the start of the day, if that's even the case :)

I still don't think ii shorting will be looking to open positions in the current predicament. I mean why would you when all the action has already happened. I can understand longs taking a punt but the other way round makes little sense to me given the risk vs reward.
