Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Especially since Investors Chronicle reiterated their BUY stance about a week ago.
Thanks to the intervention of Ashley and the JPR staff, my local Friday Lynn Star is a much better read than a year ago....has a few actually interesting articles re local business, arts, and fashions which are a big improvement on previous. One still has to wade through a lot of the local "service articles" but there is enough other content in it to be worth the £1 it costs. It will be interesting to see the figures for the last half...when are they due?
The SP looks as if it is trying to crawl upwards.....are we due a financial statement soon ?? Anyone got any information??
Merry Christmas and thanks for all your posts !
Telit is sneaking up again....probably heading for 300.....time to buy some more ...if only I had some money...
Yes...really encouraging ! This share was one that was picked by I think Mark Slater a few months ago as being one of the best investments around; I see we are going to get a 50% increase in dividend....not that it amounts to a huge sum, but it does show confidence.
So the new guy is already employed with both these companies and is now on the Ilika board as a link for them. Sounds good !
Looks like the market likes the sound of the stepdown of one and the step up of another non exec. Certainly an upbeat RNS
Lots of cheerful figures re the digital growth...but does it pay as well as newspaper ?
Very possible....can't see any other visible reason....shall sit tight
Well I have got in at 80 too but yesterday I bought more, because I think the future for Ilika is very bright if they can get their super small batteries onto the market soon. The SP is having a little rest today, but it hasn't dropped much after its breathtaking gallop from 80 to 115
All you people who thought this share would drop back ! It seems to be gathering speed.... Perhaps Hyperal's post is relevant...ie patented in the USA
Recent article says they are targetting 170p...order book is good, and KBC now able to go for bigger contracts thanks to fund raising.
Hope their patents are watertight....as they will be the goose that lays the golden egg if they can get to market with small long lasting batteries. Ilika have a few other tricks up their sleeve too....website is worth a read
This is one wonderful share. It is in a field of technologies that are the shape of the future; machines that do our bidding and turn things on and off as we wish. I am hoping for an automatic weed recogniser and tree pruner...but until someone invents one...I will have to pay for a gardener, and owning a few more shares like this could make that easier. The trick is to pick companies that are making high tech stuff for the future; we need better power sources; lighter batteries that take up less space and last longer [?Ilika IKA] I gather that Google is thinking the same way....all suggestions for shares that fit the bill would be welcome.
Not quite ! I'm listening...and agreeing. I sold some to buy some Ilika.....a company who has invented a smaller lighter lithium battery...who seem to be on a very good thing...saw them at 60p a few months ago, but bought them just 2 weeks ago at 78p. But I am not selling anymore of my Telit...it is my second biggest holding
JPR looks like it is coming to life again. Restructuring the huge debt was very sensible....could be good for a rise towards the teens again
I bought them for the same reason but alas my average is somewhere near 290. I would like to average down a bit....the divi is too good to ignore.
Investors Chronicle have this as a buy....a good turn around situation ; and some of their picks go on to make nearly twice as much as predicted....I have KBC technology and Trifast....both have been excellent
May I put in a word for Sharescope !! I find it tremendously useful and easy to use. I hardly use any of the things it is capable of doing, but I find that looking at the share chart and the current state of play, plus the ability to go straight to the company website is extremel;y useful. I am also a great fan of Investor Chronicle.
