Can’t beat a bit of AM !!!
Expert, I remember the VHS / Betamax battle. I was a VHS only purchaser and still have a VHS Recorder ( you can’t buy new ones now) and have a “wedding video”, which I must get moved to DVD. Thank you for reminding me !! For large, safe, long life and reuseable there is only one winner in this latest technology debate. IMO.
Nice thought. Can’t see happening until big news arrives, as this has been “controlled” around this level for a while and if the other LTH’s are as maxed out as I am we need new investors to appreciate the upcoming events and get the price moving back up.
Agree Sanchez, there are plenty of weaker companies (big debts no income) they could target. But the bigger thing for me is the future prospects, which are a back up processing site, additional Vanadium resources, iron ore, lemur, electrolyte plant, mini-grid on site etc....They say you can lead a horse to water ...
I deal via Equiniti (Shareview). They are describing themselves (see below) as one of the "few" providers to provide a flexible ISA as set out below.
I have topped out my ISA (in BMN) this year but haven't yet "tried out" the removal of any money to confirm it is viable. As far as I understand it you can remove money from this year's allowance and replace it, but not money from prior year's as the Flexible ISA has only started for this tax year.
What is a Flexible ISA?
We are one of the few providers to offer a Flexible Stocks and Shares ISA. This type of ISA allows you to withdraw cash from your ISA at any time and replace it, within the same tax year, without affecting your subscription.
For example, with a regular ISA, if you subscribe £15,000 and then take £5,000 out, your annual subscription won’t adjust – it will remain at £15,000. This means adding another £5,000 would result in you reaching your annual allowance – even though your ISA would contain only £15,000.
With Shareview Dealing’s Flexible ISA, if you took out £5,000, your ISA subscription readjusts to show the amount subscribed as £10,000. You’d be able to add a further £10,000 into the ISA before reaching your annual allowance.
A Flexible ISA ensures you get the most out of your annual subscription, allowing you to withdraw without impacting your annual subscription.
Bloomberg reporting iron ore past $120. A short term issue no doubt but seem to remember the Mokopane project has iron ore which is economic over $100, so bring on the licence and lets start selling iron ore as well as Vanadium.
Interesting to see the spreadsheet tonight. Was around the start of the tax year in 2018 when I last updated my holding. Now up to 695k and there have been lots of ups and down in the share price in the last 15 months. .Hope we gets some more upside in the coming months with all the news pending in the next 2 quarters.
Routed to dealer on Equniti, even with a small amount (2k).
The 7.5k share trade at 10.05 was a buy but showing as a sell (my wife's ISA). There will be another trade for 10k shortly after, this may also show as a sell but was my buy.
Cheers,

...a BE deal. He is a great speaker and has been in the background recently with the Vanchem deal. He deserves a spot in the limelight so await news from him on Eskom progress, Solar/VRFB at Vametco and new deals in the fullness of time. Thanks pb940 for following up so quickly and great we got a quick response and you were able to share it. MN’s stock has got up another notch. I have seen Fortune in person so would be great to meet them both together in the near future.
Have been topping up the ISA with more BMN as the price has been falling. Picked up some at 24.85 yesterday and hasn’t been expecting to be in profit so soon on these. Then I saw BMN have a second production facility and already have plans to invest in Mokopane to feed Vanchem. Investing is long term not short term, but RNS’s like today’s help you to keep the faith along with the knowledge of the long term investors here who share their research and see the reality of the situation here not the here today gone tomorrow brigade. The wine cellar is going to be raided for a bottle of Chapel Down sparkling tonight. Cheers
No problem. I was going to put I pulled the Letters BMN out of a scrabble bag and so invested my life saving based on this “sign”. But that wouldn’t be sensible so I questioned the banded around term “i’ve done my research”,short for I looked on a BB.
Make a point of meeting Fortune or listen to his speeches. That’s far better research than merely viewing a BB.
Cheers
I would question why someone with little experience would invest in an AIM company (£160k in 2 days). Show us the research that led to this decision & did you consider independent financial advice relating to pension money.
Cheers. Been here 6 years so find you statements somewhat naive.
Bushveld mining, which is listed in the London capital Market, announced that its subsidiary, Bushveld Energy, which owns 84% per cent of its shares, had commissioned a vanadium redox liquid flow battery from the escom (Eskom) state-owned power company (VFRB) project, which includes on-site acceptance testing.
When the project is completed, the maximum power generation of the unit will reach 450-kilowatt. Mikhail Nikomarov, chief executive of Bushveld Energy, bushveld the company and Escom (Eskom) state-owned power companies have collaborated on the completion of their first energy storage project in Africa, which has led Bushveld Energy Inc. ( Bushveld Energy was able to expand its project development capabilities four to 2018 years.
And the company is more confident in developing a more complex project that includes hybrid solar power and vanadium redox liquid flow battery (VFRB) storage technology. The company has launched a 1 MW small grid of vanadium ore development at the Bushveld Mining company in Vametco, which combines solar photovoltaic power generation and energy storage using vanadium redox liquid flow battery (VFRB) technology.
The electricity is then delivered directly to the internal distribution network of the mine. Mikhail Nico Komarov, chief executive of Bushveld Energy, also said the mini grid project would showcase the superior technological advantages of a long-term vanadium redox liquid flow battery (NIKOMAROV) system combined with renewable energy, bushveld At the same time to provide investors with business returns. It will also use locally mined and synergistic vanadium, suggesting that vanadium redox liquid flow battery (VFRB) Energy solutions can create more possibilities for South Africa than any other storage technology. At the same time, the company also developed vanadium electrolyte production equipment, including the procurement of 2 tons of vanadium converted into electrolytes.
The conversion process is constantly being enhanced. He also said there was a growing demand for vanadium electrolytes to install a 2 million-watt-time capacity device in South Africa. The current goal of Bushveld Energy is to implement a 10 million-megawatt project in Africa by 2020.
Samsung, a major Electronics giant have just announced a 60% fall in Q1 Operating Profit, so a delay in BMN's dividend policy is a minor item in comparison. It was disappointing (after being flagged twice) but a payment if forthcoming in respect of 2018 wasn't going to happen until Q3 at the earliest (after the official results for 2018). Would much rather focus was on the new solar / storage at Vametco and planning for the move up to 5k tonne per year as well as developing the brownfield options that have been signposted. Investing requires a sense of perspective not just shooting from the hip at a missed deadline. Frankly I wasn't expecting to be able to top up my ISA sub-40p a few weeks ago, so roll on next week at these prices. More shares in your ISA does it for me. Topped up last year at 8-10p, so even at current prices that's a sizeable increase. Perspective, perspective.
As a person who installed solar panels on my South facing roof over 7 years ago I am pleased to see BMN looking to install solar panel with a VRFB at Vametco. Looks from the recent videos that there is plenty of space for a good solar array. I look forward to hearing more about this install and then hopefully a second one in East London at the home of the Electrolyte plant. This would be a great marketing tool as well as showing off BMN’s green credentials.
Signed and now up to 1,222. Its "Moving on Up".
Cheers Winecellar
The Oil Companies are starting to move into the Battery space. They need to diversify so looks like the process is already starting to gain traction.
Shell has bought Germany's sonnen, which makes battery systems for the home.
Sonnen's system relies on solar power to charge the battery. It also has the technology to network lots of batteries to help balance supply and demand across the energy grid.
“With this investment we’re excited to help more households to become energy independent and benefit from new opportunities in the energy market. Shell will help drive the growth of sonnen to a new level and help speed up the transformation of the energy system,” said sonnen co-founder Christoph Ostermann.
With Iron Ore now up to $100 per ton (the highest value in the last two years), it reminded me that pre Vametco, this mining right application in 2015 primarily covered the Bushveld Vanadium project, it also covered a range of minerals including Titanium and Iron Ore (the "PQ Iron Ore & Titanium Project"). Once the mining right is approved will look forward to hearing the plans for this largely forgotton project, which presumably has no current value in our share price.
Bushveld Minerals Ltd
("Bushveld" or the "Company")
Bushveld Vanadium Project Update - Submission of Mining Right Application
Bushveld Minerals (AIM: BMN), a diversified mineral development company with projects in Africa, advises that an application for a Mining Right in terms of section 22 of the Mineral & Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 ("the MPRDA") was submitted and accepted by the Department of Mineral Resources ("the DMR") on Friday 12 March 2015. While the Mining Right Application is primarily focused on the Bushveld Vanadium Project, it also covers a range of minerals including titanium and iron ore (subjects of the PQ Iron Ore and Titanium project), phosphate (subject of Bushveld's phosphate deposit), platinum group metals and other minerals.
Fortune Mojapelo, the CEO of Bushveld said, "We are delighted to reach this important milestone for the Bushveld Vanadium Project. Efforts now turn to ensuring that the Mining Right Application is processed expeditiously. Meanwhile, the feasibility study on the vanadium project continues apace and the Company looks forward to providing updates as it progresses."
Hi Alf’s,
I bought 5k shares @ 38.5 at 8.52am. It is shown as a sell and price dropped shortly after but my ISA is now got another long term asset (albeit on the same BMN variety).
Got to wait until April now to be able to increase the ISA pot as maxed out last April/May at a much lower price. Cheers WineCellar
