An obvious benefit for GGP in respect of acquiring all Hav and also Telfer is that it will be in control of the project. In my mind that in itself is a significant advantage.
Well you can’t argue with that. Absolutely no doubt about it - top quality.
Nice one Majorsuccess
With a share acquisition everything remains the same, the only thing that changes is the owner of the shares. All existing contracts and agreements remain where they are - nothing changes in this respect.
Thanks Liam and Bamps - very interesting
There has historically been much speculation about the potential of Ggp. A share price of £1 plus has been mentioned more than once. In my view, with the new investors and the board of directors we now have, there is at least some credibility to this sort of ambition. Let’s see how things develop. On balance I think we are definitely in a more de-risked position and have access to the know how and technical expertise to turn hope into reality
God save the King
Sorry - meant to say exploration
Great post Majorsuccess. Let’s hope we get more encouraging progress in respect of the ongoing explanation on the various projects.
Hopefully we get another breakthrough
I like the guys at Artemis
In my mind you have to look at a possible takeover from NCM’s perspective. In other words what specific rationale would cause them to make a move on Ggp either now or at a future date. Obviously the strategic importance of Telfer to the future of NCM is hard to ignore. Also my impression is that there is an excellent working relationship between NCM and GGP - but what if Ggp were to be taken out by a third party? There may be a longer term risk to NCM which may justify a takeover of Ggp sooner rather than later. All purely conjecture of course.
Looking very good. Again…
As I see it there 3 main catalysts for growth in SP:
1. Formal/official decision to mine ie PFS
2. Growth in resource ie MRE
3. Start of production at Hav ie incoming revenues
If anything interesting comes up on drilling adjoining licenses - this is icing on the cake.
All looking good IMO
Hi Bamps - when do you reckon Newcrest will be in a position to get down underground and start drilling really deep?
I liked your presentation by the way
The strategy has got to be based around utilising the revenue stream from Hav to explore the portfolio and create further income producing assets. SD has already added further targets to the portfolio. It seems to be the Paterson is highly prospective but in reality no one actually knows what is there. So in many ways it’s a numbers game, You drill and explore a number of licences and if any of them turn out to be a viable prospects the financial rewards are fabulous. In my mind tHe Paterson has serious potential for further discoveries.
Bamps - I noticed on the presentation that there were 3 previous drill holes at Goliath. What is known about the results of these?
Thanks Bottle and Bamps enjoyed the presentation
POG doing nicely. Needs to blast through 1750 and we will be in business...
My personal view is that some private investors were looking to get out by September 2020 because the MRE was due then. That was seen as the time line for a good return. MRE eventually came out in December 2020 but by that time Scallywag results were anticipated. So many investors held on for Scallywag which became overly hiped up. Also Ggp is a different proposition than it was. It has entered a new phase in the mining cycle. It is now not a purely exploration play as Havieron will soon be a producing mine.
Reflecting on where we are now, the acceleration of the development of Havieron should not be overlooked and the chances of Ggp finding something else in the Paterson are not unlikely in my opinion.
Ggp is a great story with so much more potential in my opinion. Very much agree with Paddy Gall - need to be patient and let further developments unfold.
