Not content with millionaires leaving in their droves and taking their jobs with them, you now want to tax wealth even more? There will be nothing left (again). Why not tax the banks and get it over and done with now?! What we need is a lowering of taxation, corporation tax included. This will stimulate growth, creat jobs, reducing welfare state bill and ultimately generate more tax returns, given a little time. Most of the lefties on here would rather take the money off the rich. It's easier and soothes their envy but will all end in tears.

If I were to sell my holding in lloy which is currently held in my inv ISA.... how long can it sit in the same inv isa, effectively as cash? Do you have to reinvest in a stock within a certain time frame?

Well. Missed the boat here. 30% in a week! Seems the economic outlook post brexit is not as feared as it was. Also, a swift appt by the tories, with a status quo one of the experienced May- perhaps that changeover is responsible for a more positive ftse. Sitting around getting nothing done witg all that uncertainty and no engaged PM leading brexit discussions was not healthy. Possible dip in price when article 50 is invokednas small investors panic? Might provide another entry here. I can only hope.
