Free float refers to the number of a company's outstanding shares owned by public investors, excluding locked-in shares held by company managers and officers, controlling-interest investors, governments and other private parties.
I don't think that the free float amount will reduce too significantly but what will reduce is the number of shares being traded as private and institutional investors lock shares away in ISAs and SIPP accounts.
This will create a shortage of shares being traded and will help to push the share price up.
