Can't remember if I already posted this, but wonder if Scancell popped by this event also and said hello to a few acquaintances??

Logically this sounds correct, but likewise I also hope there is new data. Seems strange to go all that way to one of the most prestegious conferences and not do so?

Can someone explain RE the timing side of things, how info in the abstracts and/or presentation tie in with having disclose anything new via an RNS. Is the fact it's happening on a Sunday the key factor here (assuming there is new info).

I too would love some clarification on this. In particular the point about any other bios being even remotely close to these kind of results?

Thanks Lofas, makes sense. Yes I guess 13 to begin with is small but I was just surprised that a near on 50% increase in patient numbers wasn't mentioned officially...yet.

Should the increase from 13 to 19 patients not have been RNS'd?

An interesting day here with the RNS and price acti IMO, again never broke 2.44% gain despite the big buys? Same percentage gain as the last few days I think.

RE AACR, it wasn't included in the catch all RNS that highlights a number of attendances right?

Was AACR presentation only found out forum members digging?

You'd think they will be a separate RNS for it closer to the time?

@raypointer... Can you expand what you think RE "The 50k seller is very smart"? Do you mean tactical selling/trading? Do we think it's an institution etc?

No one else finds it a bit amusing/suspect that that is Hadleys first ever post? Lol. Not "...can I get a bit more information about Scancell from you regular posters".

Maybe I'm getting too cynical in my old age.

Likewise, I really struggle to find posts on there now due to its layout. A short summary without names/details would be much appreciated. Although details about the Scancell/drug side I guess are not a issue.

For me it's easy to forget this, it's an important way to play a hand at the card table so to speak. Having the viable option to walk away from a deal usually always increases your value to the other party.

I was just thinking of all the recent activities/events and wondered what the rest of you could deduce from it:

- Sath joining the board

- Financial controller role filled freeing up Sath for the heavy duty stuff (deals/partnerships we'd assume?)

- Recruiting for a CMC regulatory scientist

- Recruited another senior(?) senior scientist not long ago.

- Numerous presentations and conferences including the biggie at AACR.

A very good reminder. Unlikely to be a random out of the blue deal. How many programmes do we know Scancell have ATM? At least 4 x ?

Agree BOJO, I have a feeling that price Scancell want may be a fair bit bigger than Fusion got. Another reason it's taking so long, which I think you may be implying?

RE share price/deals/partnerships etc... someone on here alluded to this... because of NDA's we won't know until we know.

But a lower share price/market cap benefits potential suitors?

Just an observation, I could be wrong, but it seems like there are often deals of big US pharma buying small bios usually also from the US, but not exclusively.

Unusual to see a British big pharma buying a small US bio?

Would have nice if Astra looked closer to home perhaps? Although synergistically Scancell products may not have fitted Astras outlook?

I have a feeling Scancell will have interest from all over but mainly the US. IMO. But if Scancell were US based there would have been bids aplenty by now. Again IMO.
