Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Just went online and had a limit order hit at 640 - should have put it a bit lower but still a good position I think...
Anyone else in the buy category???
Broker ratings suggesting its a HOLD... but, I sold last at 1800... could be a Re-Buy IMHO
Things looking up in the cruise space... holidays restarting, covid much less active in media...
IS IT PLAIN SAILING FROM HERE????
I think the cost reductions and the lack of one off charges this time round should bring some positivity...

"Operating profit, that was £414 million and that’s a £2.5 billion improvement compared to
2020. That reflects the significant cost savings from the restructuring program that was
largely focused on Civil Aerospace. Defence performed well and more than covered its
increased R&D spend. Power Systems, that grew strongly. It benefited from recovering end
markets and better utilisation on the shop floor. The underlying loss of £2 billion in the prior
year included £1.3 billion of one-off charges in Civil Aerospace and those was mostly related
to the impact of COVID-19. "

Flights increasing would mean more engine maintenance...
ITP sale is mentioned to be possible in first half of the year...
More news about SMR's is likely to be released due to the UK's net 0 emission targets...
Debate?
LONDON, Nov 17 (Reuters) – Rolls-Royce has asked Britain's government for clearance to begin the 4-5 year long process of seeking regulatory approval for its small modular nuclear reactor, it said on Wednesday, the first step towards commercializing the technology. Britain earlier this month backed a $546 million funding round at the company to develop the country's first small modular nuclear reactor (SMR), in a drive to reach net zero carbon emissions and promote new technology with export potential.
This spells longevity for me... 4-5 years of recovery, funding rounds and so on... then if/when they receive regulatory approval - boom.
Timeframe for full recover to pre-pandemic - unknown but certainly on the Horizon... IMO.

doni - I think it will be an interesting one - BWXT have a much smaller footprint in terms of employment (under 7,000) - and I think RR has a better infrastructure to get the job done. IMHO
however, articles are saying that the uk AND the us will build them for AUS... so maybe both could play a part?
Rolls Royce currently supplies the UK with the reactors for submarines... Watch this space...
"Rolls also looks set to play a role in supplying Australia with submarine reactors in the new AUKUS security pact. "
Are there any other companies in the running? I have no idea...
