Considering we are still closed and taking no revenue anything over a £1 is a bonus. Expecting a reopen rns soon if usa vaccinations continue positively which should give us the nudge upwards. Until then ride the waves
Apologies, have been sidetracked this morning, just sitting back and watching the sp slowly rise now. The derampers are beginning to show I see lately. This still has an upward trajectory despite the USA markets trying to drag us down! Hold strong people!
Exclusive, Sunday Update: This weekend’s titles at the box office, Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon and Lionsgate’s Chaos Walking, may not have opened respectively with $8.6M and $3.8M, but New York City definitely did open.
With cinemas in the five boroughs back on line, that fueled the New York Dma to surge 525% for Friday and Saturday at the B.O. compared to the same period last weekend. The New York Dma for Friday and Saturday per box office sources made $744K from 83 sites versus $119K for the two days last weekend. Broken down, the New York market did $307K on Friday and another $437K on Saturday repping a 42% increase.
NYC theaters had been shuttered for 50 1/2 weeks due to the Covid lockdown. The NY Dma was easily the No. 1 market in the country over the weekend, followed by Salt Lake City,
Just following the market. Travel and leisure stocks taking a beating today!
Preliminary data from a study conducted at the University of Oxford indicates that the COVID-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca is effective against Brazilian variant, a source with knowledge of the study told Reuters on Friday.
The data indicates that the vaccine will not need to be modified in order to protect against the variant, which is believed to have originated in the Amazonian city of Manaus, said the source, who requested anonymity as the results have not yet been made public.
The source did not provide the exact efficacy of the vaccine against the variant. They said the full results of the study should be released soon, possibly in March.
Would love to see £1.18 but today's ftse sell-off will continue into close. Expecting the index to be down 2% today. Anything in the green will be great after yesterday's rise. I'll go £1.13
They already have by a week..
I'm there.... if cineworld keeps rising I'll turn up dressed like del boy!
Haha my apologies going on my rant a few weeks back, I'll tell you what though, this share has definitely been a rollercoaster. My first buy was at 83p after £1 spike in June last year, rode it all the way down to the big drop but kept buying as it tanked. Definitely glad to have held on so far though! Hoping upwards projection is on the cards but after an 8p rise I'm half expecting it to consolidate
Tbh it would be good to discuss cine without the constant bombardment of derampers everytime the sp rises 2p. Hope you're all doing well after today's nice rise! Think we may settle towards £1.10 tomorrow after the huge tech sell-off today will drag down the ftse tomorrow
Is this the board for the cine elite? I'm not missing that 16p Monday after James bond news day that's for sure!
If only you could delete your post history ey Sammy ;)
This statement was released the day we first cleared £1 comfortably on the 25th February, just a waiting game now before LA reopens and the RNS is released. Onwards and upwards!
We are encouraged by the recent announcement regarding the opening of theatres in New York City. Big movies are made for the big screen and once LA opens, we are confident in the studios holding their release dates for news movies allowing us to reopen our theatres.
Wonder if NOFEAR will be altering his £1.20 exit.
Equivalent to £1.17
Ego is the enemy.... he doesn't seem to realise that cine debts are mainly due to acquisitions and covid and before covid the company was profitable. Many companies now have extra debt to service so cine is nothing unusual. Interesting to see jangho not unloading during this recent 40% spike. Shorts are decreasing, countries are unlocking and plenty of films backlogged to be shown on the big screens. Happy Days!
Just noticed IDW piping up today on the advfn forums spouting the same rubbish he did here... props for his continued effort...
Keep trying trader... How's that short looking? Almost 5% down in an hour!
Here come the derampers, furlough simply extended to reduce redundancy potential and ensure businesses can take advantage of flexi furlough based on business levels until everyone is vaccinated. dyor
