These both had downward trends last week; looking promising pre market after the revenue numbers for Godzilla vs Kong...
Wow! Even skynews are posting positives.
Monster blockbuster Godzilla vs. Kong has provided a beacon of hope to the cinema industry with a pandemic-era box office record.
After an unprecedented year for Hollywood, with tentpole after tentpole delayed due to COVID-19, a strong opening weekend for the lizard-on-ape spectacular suggests plenty are itching to get back to their local picture house.
Godzilla vs Kong, which serves as a sequel to 2017's Kong: Skull Island and 2019's Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, has amassed $32m in the US over Easter - helping it to a total of $48.5m in its first five days.
“The industry is roaring back as Godzilla vs. Kong‘s incredible performance should silence the naysayers who predicted that due to the pandemic and the resultant appeal of at-home viewing, that the big screen experience would wind up as extinct as a prehistoric lizard,” beamed Comscore Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian this morning.
Expecting a nice open Tuesday if this continues over the weekend.

New data suggests strong protection for 99% after one vaccine dose
A single dose of the Pfizer gave strong protection to 99% people in a new study, it has been revealed.
The figure applies to 237 health workers who formed part of research carried out by Sheffield and Oxford Universities.
Results of the PITCH study have been presented as a vindication of the policy to delay second doses so as to provide protection to as many higher-risk groups as possible by providing more first jabs.
The research also concluded that people who had previously been infected with COVID-19 infections had six times the immune response to one dose of the Pfizer jab than those who had not had the virus.
Health Minister Lord Bethell said: "These findings from the PITCH study are crucial to increasing our understanding of the immune response to COVID-19 and how the Pfizer vaccine is working to protect people across the UK already."
Over 15% up on yesterday's lows.... manipulated much

US President Joe Biden is holding his first formal news conference since taking office.
He says that he has surpassed his initial goal of jabbing 100 million people by his 100th day of office - instead reaching that goal last week by day 58.
He says today he sets his second goal - administering 200 million COVID vaccines by his 100th day in office.
"No other country has even come close, not even close to what we are doing", he says. "I believe we can do it".
He says he will start to focus on problems like immigration and gun control after COVID-19.

The only negative is the worst case scenario outlook if lockdowns are reintroduced or cinema opening delays. As to be expected
For the forthcoming re-openings, in line with the re-openings from the first outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, the Group will reimplement safety measures across all territories to ensure the safety of customers and employees. These include staggered film start times, social distancing measures in auditoriums and foyers, additional cleaning procedures, temperature checks and the wearing of face coverings in certain territories. Restrictions in place, and additional measures taken in order to ensure appropriate social distancing is maintained in all cinemas, constrain the potential capacity for attendance. However, the level of unused capacity available in theatres, operational changes made regarding film times and the choice of films shown should ensure that forecast revenues are still achievable despite such restrictions.
