Great find Yela! Very positive news...
So is this party still on?! I'm suited and booted ready to go!
Anyone actually invested in this share wouldn't need to ask so many basic questions.
Interesting to see if Jhango have unloaded any over the next few days. I get where you're coming from Sammie. However we are at the same SP as this point last week. No huge loss.
Cinemark and Cineplex both 20% down on 30 day highs. We are just following suit.. we even matched the restaurant group charts today.
Shorts have left and time to let us fly
I'd be more worried with your rr shares:
"Summer holiday decision still months away"
Attempting to take a holiday abroad will result in a £5,000 fine under new coronavirus laws.
The legislation covering COVID-19 restrictions includes a ban on leaving the UK without a reasonable excuse - with the hefty fine for those breaking the rule.
We expecting one this morning?
Exactly. Trying to deramp today is like trying to deramp airline stocks the day boris announces all holidays can go ahead! (Not gonna be anytime soon though)
Not forgetting his post yesterday and about rr hitting £1.22 today. How did that work out?
Looks like he's got bored deramping over at boohoo, didn't you say under £3 over there. Still waiting... tool
Pfizer and BioNTech have said that real world data from the vaccine rollout in Israel suggests that their jab is 94% effective in preventing asymptomatic infections - signs that it could reduce transmission.
The firms also said that the jab was 97% effective in preventing symptomatic infection, severe illness and death - broadly line with data from the third stage trials last year.
Could see a nice uptick today...
AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. reported a loss of nearly $1 billion in the holiday season to wrap up a woeful year of closed movie theaters, but executives sounded a hopeful note for reopening in 2021.
AMC AMC, -6.19% reported a fourth-quarter loss of $946.1 million, or $6.21 a share, a sharp decline from a loss of $14 million a year ago. Sales fell more than 88% from the holiday season a year ago, coming in at $162.5 million after the theater chain reported revenue of $1.46 billion in the same period last year.
After adjusting for $466.1 million in impairment charges largely related to the struggles of the past year, AMC reported a loss of $3.15 a share; the company collected adjusted earnings of 35 cents a year ago. Analysts on average expected AMC to report an adjusted loss of $3.24 a share on sales of $142.3 million.
Just crazy low volume, more volatile than usual. Nice to see Holland reduce their shorts again on Monday. They've been consistently reducing. This should give everyone a clear direction
7 figures here sammie. Rookie numbers
During a meeting with shareholders today, Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirmed plans for a Black Widow theatrical release later this year.
There remains a lot of uncertainty around the theatrical landscape as we head further into 2021, but with the COVID-19 vaccine rolling out across the globe, the future is slowly starting to look brighter.
We've seen a handful of delays already, though there's hope that the summer could play out relatively similar to a "normal" year. Many will still be wary of returning to packed screenings, of course, but if the movies are enticing enough...well, that's going to help the box office in a big way.
Black Widow fits into that category, but will it hit the big screen on May 7th as planned?
During The Walt Disney Company’s 2021 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirmed plans for the Marvel Studios movie to hit that date.
"Next up is Marvel's highly-anticipated spy thriller, Black Widow, featuring an all-star cast that includes Oscar Nominee Scarlett Johansson currently set for release in theaters on May 7. I know Marvel fans have been looking forward to this film for a long time and I promise you it's well worth the wait. It's absolutely fantastic."
Things can change, but at this point, a Disney+ release of any sort seems highly unlikely. A delay remains on the table, but there's still two months to go until May 7th, and theaters could be up and running as normal(ish) by then.
We'll have to wait and see, but as updates go, this is definitely a positive one.
The Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine was able to combat the Brazil variant of COVID-19, it has been revealed.
Scientists tested the blood of people who had received the jab and found it fared well against a laboratory made version of the virus similar to the one first discovered in Brazil.
The research, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, could calm fears about the P.1 variant, which has been found to spread more quickly than other types of the coronavirus since it emerged in South America.
This share is definitely a roller coaster! The economy is beginning to open up and its only a matter of time before we are all back in cinemas eating popcorn celebrating! Seems a lot of the lths must have sold out last week, great to see some new names around here now though!
