The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Four new posters in the last hour have tried de-ramping GGP! They've posted elsewhere in the past but never on GGP! Do these idiots think that LTH take any notice of their drivel? We don't believe the rampers, why the hell do they think we 'll believe them! Please take your petulant attention seeking behaviour elsewhere.
Long9, if you've been here for a long time, you know that it's best to ignore those who make spurious claims about the price at the close or those who give us a running commentary on the daily price change.
I wouldn't put too much trust in that price. Late trades often appear at rogue prices, especially on AIM! It will probably open in the morning at closer to 0.55 p
Unfortunately, North star commented on a market move when the market was closed. As a consequence, I wouldn't put too much faith in his analysis.
@elir71, Wales is currently in Tier 4. Please stay away at this time!
@jaguarflash, they would never get a licence for such mining given the mine lies in a National Park
Another needless thread. Why do some individuals insist on giving us a running commentary on the ask price. We can all read the price changes for ourselves. These pointless threads lead to these arguments clogging up the discussion board. All of us have our (differing) opinion and all of us can see the price changes for ourselves. Merry Christmas everyone!.
We really don't need pointless threads such as this!
When you quoted the 37p number, I assume you're quoting the buy price. To holders, surely the sell price is more relevant as at the end of the day, that is what we all will do eventually.
Over recent weeks, there's been a lot of speculation on this board that Scallywag results will be announced tomorrow. Why would they announce this in a week that only consists of three and a half trading days and when many will be winding down for Christmas? Surely it's more likely that an announcement will come in the new year. Would any of the well respected posters (you know who you are) be able to give their view. Many thanks.
Bobby must be one of those sad internet individuals who are so lonely that they resort to seeking the attention of complete strangers! We should feel sorry for individuals who lack the social skills to build true friendships. You have my sympathy Bobby!
Prior to today, all the main markets were at the level they were in late February. For that reason Tymers, I have to respectfully disagree with you. As much as it may disappoint us and however much every single one of us hopes GGP flies in the morning, it will take an outstanding RNS to buck the market trend. All seasoned investors will know that. If you believe that the price is being held back, and I wouldn't disagree with you on that matter, why do you think this will stop tomorrow. If anything, market uncertainty gives the MM another opportunity to drop the price. I'm genuinely interested, other than for tonight's RNS, why you believe that tomorrow is the day for GGP. I would remind you that we haven't seen the rises we'd expect after RNSs in the past
What makes you think the carnage won't continue tomorrow? The Dow is currently down over 3% (and has fallen 0.5% since the close in London). The Hang Seng and Nikkei are very likely to see large drops over night. It will take a great deal for GGP to buck that trend.
Good evening all.
Irrespective of tonight's announcement, is there any chance that we can avoid the usual nonsense of trying to predict tomorrow's opening price. Given the carnage on today's market, no one will have a clue what is to come in the morning. I'm sure that many individuals will have insightful comments to make on the news and I look forward to reading those comments, but there is a danger that some of those comments will be lost in the 'It will be ....pence in the morning' or '...pence by Friday' posts. Others of course are free to disagree.
Have I missed something about the significance of Thursday the 24th of September? Is it meant to be the 25th?
Why the rush to reach 20 p? I'd happily settle for a steady rise over a few weeks to reach that price as opposed to a bumpy roller coaster. Of course some will try to anticipate highs and lows in order to sell or buy but I for one am not brave enough to do so! It will take a 25% rise on the week to get to 20 p. I think the general consensus is that it will require the RNS to consist of something special to take us to that level.
I think it's important we differentiate between gold miners and explorers. Miners are in a position to take advantage of the current gold price, however GGP being an explorer isn't benefiting from the current increase in gold's value. It increases the POTENTIAL value of GGP's assets but who knows where the price of gold will be when Havieron is mined! For that reason, I'm not getting too excited about the rise in the value of gold just yet! GLA.
Hi Enrico, it's worth remembering that Sydney are currently on Daylight Saving Time therefore only nine hours ahead of British Summer Time. Australian market doesn't open until 1am BST (10 am Sydney Time). therefore RNS may not be 11 pm!
A lot of the 11.69 p registered 'sells' are in fact buys. I 'topped up' at 12:02 and it's been noted as a sell as it was just below the mid price!
Gazza, since SGC only rose 16.7% on the news, I think you're being a tad optimistic. Of course, I hope you are correct, or indeed, are way below the end of day price!
