You most definitely want your website all nice and shinny when great globally significant news hits. I will be the first port of call for news outlets/government depts/competitors/suppliers/customers and potential employees.

It doesn't mean that they know how good the results are, but on the other hand you don't want to fall short if it does, but you would still need to justify the cost of a remake etc. if it all goes south.

I know what I am now strongly expecting - actions do speak very loudly.....

Investing in a company doesn't prove anything, it certainly doesn't mean you are cleverer than anyone else!
Making stupid comments about lowering the buyout displays a complete misunderstanding of the dynamics of this drug and it's prospects. That bit does display a level of ignorance.

It would be nice to know how the decision to buy was made. Was is fund manager (having done market research) or was it directed by NJ (political)? We will never know, of course, but it is interesting that NJ has a small cap AIM listed company in it's portfolio. If they were looking for some higher risk/reward stocks to include, there must be plenty of choice in the US. It implies that there is a compelling reason......

Our single asset risk is one I'd take any day.

Remember it's a single asset that is virus agnostic and work for many diseases (much like Aspirin was when first discovered). Better that than a drug which competes with others for one condition (i.e. monoclonal antibodies, Merck's Magic pill etc.).

Now,that would be impressive. I doubt, however that they will drill from surface to prove up the resource at that depth.
Yes, it is useful to know what is there at depth, but in reality it will be many years before it can be worked (current 'starter' mine with a fraction of a fraction has a 9 year life).

Knowing it is there, with underground drilling to better define (in around 5 tears time) will help the mine evolve - along with an good impetus for the technology advances needed to work deeper (remote control machinery etc...).

For now, they are more likely looking for data about the mineralisation and underground structure to help build the bigger picture and point them in the right direction for the 'next hHavieron'.

If AZN (or anyone else) even thought of approaching Polygon to 'front' their purchases what do you think Polygon would do with this titbit of information? Doff cap, say 'thank you, sir' and dutifully perform the fronting function for whatever fee they have negotiated? Or do you think an aggressive hedge fund manager would say 'Luverly Jubbly, this time next month Rodders....' and fill their boots for their own account in the knowledge that a bid is well and truly on the cards?

Seriously folks, if AZN or anyone else was trying to build a position, the last place they would go to would be Polygon! This could ultimately cost them more if Polygon take a position themselves.

Surely they would use a well trusted banker that they had dealt with for many years.

Weeks? I suspect quicker. NIH (with the ACTIV data) have lots of information to hand, plus the desperate need for something in US hospitals. Fast track is highly likely.

The ducks could well be all lined up and paddling furiously across the pond to our friends in the US.
Don't forget that ACTIV does allow data from outside their trial, so timings for any US announcements my need careful considerations.

I wouldn't discount an after lunch RNS or an after hours one either.

We do know RM tends to pack his RNSs with lots of juicy information - so lining up a US EUA at the same time as P3 results would simply "blow the bloomin' doors off".

Hopping from foot to foot all this month watching and waiting here.
