Debt is down, FCF is up, Divi is up. Adjusted profit will probably hit £100M in 2024, really happy with this one
We need a trading update to get investors excited again..
Can I just ask when will shareholders be rewarded with a dividend? Any chance of this in 2023? The TU and results are good as you all agreed.
Profit guidance is not great but SP didn't drop much because valuation was already low comparing with general market. Kept dividends so that's reassuring. I will keep my holdings based on this. Hope no more nasty surprises at year-end.
investors are scared of the hyperinflation, retail stocks are dumped by those who worry about deep recession later in the year.
We just need a decent trading update before lift off.
Slipperman, Maybe your buys triggered a rebound today?! Keep it up please :)
I will be over the moon if they pay a final div 1p!
I wonder if Biles could be tempted to do a private or management buyout given the firm is now only worth <£15M? I am almost 80% down on this one, by far the worst in my PF. Terrible investment...
At this low SP you'd think the company could attract P/E takeover interests? Low P/E ratio and reasonably good growth prospects.
SP started decline since the news broke out that CMA was investigating their recent acquisition deal. For a high P/E stock like this to justify it's high ratio it banks on its M&A strategy to drive future earnings growth. If it can't easily acquire more vet practices then I am not surprised the market start to doubt CVS group.
I don't see Halfords as a 'retailer' anymore. Their main business are now motoring services (Autocentres) and as long as they are grabbing market share and maintain a good margin I think this is still a growing company.
based on today's SP and divi announcement, 2022 yield is now 4.35%. Should be a safe haven in the market in the turmoil.
Could be due to lack of divi in the recent announcement?
From today Freetrade app has also added DKL to their AIM stock list so we may see some small trades going through...
I agree with the online article, at 400p we are probably fairly valued. I see this becoming a steady cash cow and good divi payer once they hit their 250 store target in 2 -3 years time. But you never know they may be ambitious and go global after that!
Hi @ADP708 thanks. I built my ISA stake in Ince in several tranches in September/early October thinking the divi is going to happen soon. Average was probably 57p. Still hold Ince in my SIPP (long-term bet) so hopefully this ship will turn around in time. When I saw the Arden news I hit the panic sell button as got the worst timing (sold at 43.75p) that morning. Don't worry my holding in Ince was relatively small (only 2000 shares I think). If this drops to 40p I may buy some back. That's when they resume trading of course!
I sold out my ISA holdings in Ince yesterday with a heavy loss. This acquisition is yet another unwelcomed distraction, or 'skeleton in the cupboard' we shareholders have just seen too many times before.
