RE: Whilst we wait...15 Feb 2026 20:24
In the quiet heat of the Ruvuma Basin,
Where the earth holds its breath in a deep, ancient seam,
Aminex waits by the Tanzanian shore,
For the end of a long-faded dream.
Twenty-two years in the dust and the red,
From Kiliwani North to the Nyuni expanse,
Through the winters of waiting and whispers of gas,
And the slow, heavy rhythm of chance.
The Ntorya treasure lies locked in the stone,
A "giant" they called it, a promise of gold,
But the calendar pages turn yellow and brittle,
While the story of "soon" is repeatedly told.
The pipeline, a lifeline of steel and of hope,
Now inches its way through the Madimba clay,
Targeting mid-2026 for the flow,
At the end of a very long day.
The LSE tickers, they flicker and fade,
As investors count seasons in silence and prayer,
For the "moment" that’s coming—just over the hill—
Though it feels like an eternity’s there.
