I think there is lot of world peace atm which is good. No rocket testing isis are dead nobody is taking about iran. Trump is,dealing with China. Vix was at 12 yesterday S&P DOW running like plus500 was doing it early this year.
No deal Brexit been chucked out all U.S. stocks are going up EU situation improves FED will reduce instead of increase so PLUS and others are down.
I'm down nearly 14k can't believe price so low it's just ridiculous.
Liberum put 1000 can't rely on then house broker.
Berenberg put 770 can't make out the revenue coming from hold.
CG was a disaster didnt believe sell at 546 should have would be better off today.
Peel Hunt under review 1030 I hope at least 800 so I can get out.
This quarter was a bloody disaster 84% from last year 65% from last quarter.
Now me and my colleague at work both have Plus500.
He got 5000 and I have 2700 shares both average around 970p.
We sat down and made a strategy maybe dumb but tell me if this can work please.
He thinks this will be a yoyo stock swinging 30 to 50 points daily basis either side like it did from Feb 12.
He thinks if we capture 10 points on daily basis in our favour he can recover 500 a day and I can around 270.
This is how it works
Follow the candle sticks on 5m and 15m charts as soon as RSI in over bought zone and red candles stick consecutive ones...
SELL e.g. 5000 at 530
then after it drops I don't know 10/15/20 points as soon as you see green candle sticks coming back buy back the same quantity at less.
He thinks if we are able to do this atleast 20 times successfully then the overall average will drop and we will be able to pull money out.
I understood his idea but is this possible and practical?
I was just playing on my ig demo cfd account they gave me 10k to play. Nothing is open could only play with Bitcoin.
got 1 until was down 30 straight away having said that buy and sell spread quite big I would never buy this even with OPM.
So half an hour later minus 27 then hour late minus 40 closed position. Just now looked it's gone up crazy lol it's fun playing on demo accounts.
I understood other bits what's zero sum game?
I was going to sell off Plus500 on Thursday however I was down quite a lot so didn't and my idea was if the results are similar to IG then drop would be around 10% and because it's dropped so much from 1600 and had drop of 50p already in 2 days thought result may be priced in should have sold crazy.
Sorry I did not understand a thing.
E.g.
Plus500 assuming it's £5 now to buy will cfd give me the same price or charge me extra?
I buy say 10000 shares that's £50000 this is example I will never buy 10000 sorry.
Then I pay 10000 plus 0.1% commission that's 10100 in the account with a buy so then my account will have the option to sell anytime.
If I'm down to say 470 at 4.30 what will say on my account.
RMG may not pay any dividends in future or less as per Motley Fool I don't know how reliable they are?
I had £750 worth of RMG which I didn't sell when at 500 odd but 385 or something just before they got the kick out of Ftse100 but then few months later was like 550 plus in ftse250 was gutted.
is that included in the margin of 20% Libor with 2.5%.
what's the benefit of the CFD vs actual shares?
apart from you're holding large stock against small amount as you don't have the money.
e.g. if I put in £500 plus commission and say losing 200 I can keep it open as long as it goes to 500 or gets better.
if it ever becomes profitable they will charge me interest plus Libor if it goes bad I don't owe them anything.
is my understanding correct?
I read somewhere CFDs good for short terms long terms they charge you more as if you borrowed on a credit card.
I'm new I like not have to spend all give some and then watch.
Another question I have is
say you bought 1000 shares of a £1 but only gave 200. Then when if you win at all who pays you the profit because you don't hold anything.
