Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I can see there still being some hope for this investment.
What would the share price have to drop to for ex-investors to feel confident enough of a return to jump back into bed with this share?
Not my final sentence, hence why I put
Foreign buyer???
"We believe that in the interest of the UK economy and the Northern regions of interest in particular, that the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy should intervene to prevent this company being sold off cheaply to a foreign buyer. "
Foreign buyer???

Well, couldn't find out much.......
Was Operations director, previously was director of the ICL mine next door.
Looks like he worked his way down the the bottom, was a miner, and then up to the top.
So, why did he resign....?
Well two left on the same date (Simon Carter - Development the other), so very unlikely to be personal.
Both appear to be operational posts, other posts - ceo, finance and legal stay.
So, why would operational & development directors step down, and the others stay.
A sign that 'some things' are coming to an end, WTFDIK?
Or maybe just got lucky.
I see nothing has changed, annoyed folk that have, or might soon lose out on an investment venting their spleens in anger and spittle to anyone prepared to read it.
Conspiracy theories abound as can be expected.
I have only spent 3 months visiting this BB, and boy, it's opened my eyes.
I knew (and know) nothing about investing in shares, I was always aware of and a believer in the Sirius Project but, as I'd never ever bought a share in my life had never contemplated investing, but what did it for me, on a sort of whim, was when CF invested another £10,000 (I think) in shares after some calamitous money raising failure, how gullible was I, and many others!
So in a fit of pique I dove into the murky world of investing!!!!
Not long after I came across this site and spent hours reading up on members posts, quite an eye opener I tell you. I was out of my depth, but I considered all posts equally (well almost, as some are ridiculous) and twice increased my first investment.
I saw many people posting out of blind faith, as the alternative outcome was probably too painful for them to consider, understandable for sure.
I noticed IBAB's posts and at first I thought he was just being antagonistic but I found he gave a view that balanced out the happy-clappy, wishful thinkers views and I still genuinely feel that his posts were never malicious or misleading, but I suppose it depends on from what position you are viewing them.
I sold my lot yesterday, and I'm in no way gloating, but I didn't lose out, but because of good fortune, not skill.
I have no idea why IBAB is still posting here (nor me) but he's as entitled to as anyone, and I still think his posts give balance to an understandably one sided angry audience.
My guts tell me that a great many folk have been wronged, and it shouldn't be that way, especially as many believed in the promise of a better future for themselves, their area and future generations.
I got lucky, but it leaves a bitter after-taste.
Avko, It's a pity almost everyone lost money here, they invested in good faith.
I only bought my 500,000 shares 3 months ago, so luckily i'm not one of them.
It still sounds to me like spending 19k to save 17k!
Hmm, It saved you £17K you say, but, wouldn't 650k shares at 2.93p of cost you £19k or am I misunderstanding something.
Finally decided which side of the fence I was going to fall and I fell on the 'sell my lot' side.
Feels better already and no doubt the share price will now rocket, but, such is life.
It's been an experience!
Keep up the good work IBAB, I appreciated your candidness.
Summary
If Anglo come in and make a confirmed bid and take over Sirius, then this will take them to the
next level. Anglo’s resources, knowledge, financial power and marketing ability will certainly
add some real depth to Sirius as a business, but this really needs to be confirmed, Fair warning
though at this time if anything goes wrong with the approach they could easily be back down
to previous levels. Those looking to take advantage of any gap between market prices and
offer prices will be left disappointed but this does also raise the prospect that Sirius could be
appealing to some of the other Mining giants and the potential for a bidding war would be a
dream scenario for all involved.
Anglo have until February the 5th to confirm.
I'm in the same position as you, however, I think we were taking on a greater perceived risk by buying after the bottom had dropped out of the share price, there was much greater confidence in the project being completed as planned when the price was higher and it was more of an inexperienced investors gamble when we joined.
I too feel for all those that have lost monies in this project.
Caveat Emptor as the saying goes.
“First lesson in business is: Don’t get emotional about stock, clouds your judgement.”
“The mother of all evil is speculation”
Indeed, I must get off today's fence, do I jump and take current profits, or, listen to the greed gremlins & play for more!
And this is because suddenly big investors want a bite of the cherry?
If so, then wouldn't the SP be likely to rise??
Hence the 'State Street Global Advisors' RNS I guess.
State Street Global Advisors?
Who are?
