This price was/is so artificially devalued, it should be at 30p-ish now, so lets see what happens. I sold half my holding at 172p and now waiting, the potential of this company now is so exceptional IMO
Started to ramp a bit on TSX
No wonder Gil had a hangover at the IEC Namibia.
Looks like its a 10b discovery club out there! Can see the global expo resource in Namibia/SA in time. Be good when Walvis opens up.
Yes looks like Mopane area is a proper Elephant, could be a worlds largest some say! If it is on trend with 3B/4B then its more than a company maker for us, not sure what word or description you would use?
Many thanks Booradley, interesting comment from CEO;Shell not that happy with volumes Graff/Jonker.
Lets hope for us the low-ish share price is the seller action.
Noted a high-ish volume yesterday on TSX.
Eco have successfully drilled a non-commercial well in the area as operator! Don't see any issue myself.
Exxon & parteners
drilled circa 4 wells in Hammerhead so in my view there must of been a discovery of some kind and Hammerhead was on the short list for FPSO but was relegated I think due to other discoveries.
Exxon have not disclosed and data on the Hammerhead project (I think), however the Hess CEO did mention the Oil may be heavy in a meeting but that's not not all bad news. That said they did invest to drill multi-holes (appraisal)?
So I share a hope that cross production could be achieved commercially. And I ask what would that do for ECO valuation?
Information implies we should get info on Orinduik next 3 months. If the new operator is Exxon then this will be very good news.
Remember Total are the operators in 3/4b so would guess spud price could be IMO anything up to 100p.
We don't know any dates yet but who knows maybe Orinduik before 3/4b; lots of dead time though the interest will come in time.
Bit of ECO volume on TSX
My thoughts post ops update were this could be finished or maybe Gil and team would come through but was neutral in the outcome.
Well am very happy now, yes a wait till drill 4q or 25/26 but wow that's a good farm-out Sub 100p on spud then could be very happy days.
Walvis next up hey.
Yes no worries here all good market will set the rate. Maybe drilling late 24 but realistically 25 what's not to like.
Regarding recent media, it appears that Gill is focusing on Orinduik a little more than Orange basin. Maybe the the deal that's been promised is gone or to be renegotiated. Defo a waiting game hey.
Director dealing. And I guess these farm-ins move at glacial speeds so hope for news moving forward
We back out of JHI;That was a good move. Is there anything tangibly positive with ECO?
Be interesting to see the successful bid amount. Was our 700K a good deal? Almost certainly. Guess the shallow block will be bidder by non-super major (see Trove piece on the Tube).
As said before am a bit negative if drilling will take place in 24. However the bids for Guyana could be part of Gil's strategy. And also KH leaving Africa oil and their share holding could be relevant, don't ask me why.
With reference to IJWT post I cannot totally disagree with that. And Hammerhead! Will it be developed?? I guess uplift costs will reduce as time goes on. Maybe we need to give it 5 years or so to be fair.
