Return to Normalcy?3 Jun 2021 14:09
So Abbott has revised downwards their covid related sales by $2bn,roughly a third.I wonder how much of this could be attributed to the drop off in their expected revenues from PCR testing; this last year the being THE go-to test but more recently being usurped by the developments of LFTs,in an attempt to facilitate the return to 'normalcy'. Nobody is sure how this return to so called normalcy will play out.Just because deaths have fallen(thankfully) does not mean that once the economies re-open and international travel resumes, case numbers and deaths will not rise again, and new, more dangerous variants will not emerge. The world was stopped in its tracks this last year,do we really think that covid is just going to go away and leave us alone,in our new 'normalcy' ? Only last week we were discussing Innova's plans to set up shop in Wales due to expected, ongoing LfT demand.Boris hasn't even given the go ahead yet for the relaxation on the 21st,.airlines still don't know what's happening re testing..LFTs are the only way to ensure a safe re-opening.Let's see how the next 2 weeks play out.I believe that as the weeks pass by,travel resumes and case numbers continue to increase,LFTs will be in massive demandin an attempt to remain in our new normalcy..and ODX/ Mologic have the best performing LFT on the market.
