Hi Photo - In a similar situation to you. Put the house on the market. Been here 38 years. Difficult decision. We had spoken about downsizing for 18 months. But in the back of my mind, if my shares came good (USOP, SRES, MXO, RRL etc) I would be able to pay off the mortgage and do the things we wanted to the house.
Sadly we have ran out of time waiting for high SPs. However on the bright side, we will be more comfortably off, less work to do to a smaller house and hopefully next year - Have I Said That Before? - the SPs will be much higher and I can retire as well.
ATVB to long term holders. I have been in the shares mentioned a long time. I just wish I was getting a £185,000 salary for poor communication like SO. I am sure he is doing work behind the scenes - trying to work out ways to increase his salary.
I really hope it happens - but I doubt it.
Thanks. Have replied to you.
Morning buddy - Can you email me if you still have my address? I have switched computers and no longer have yours.
It's because there is up to nine months before possibly first oil. I am gutted because I was locked out of my account for a while, couldn't sell at 2.40 and missed my chance to double my holding today with the dosh!!
That is what happens with AIM. There is a surge in SP, then it falls back to roughly where it started if there is a lot of waiting time before revenue.
I have a feeling in my nether regions that there may be news next week as long as the licence renewal is confirmed. This could be the reason that there has been very little movement here in recent weeks. The market doesn't like uncertainty. And the JV can't announce development plans until they know for certain that the licence will be renewed. AIMHO.
Cheers Phil. I haven't had a look yet but if it is oil development, it is way outdated because we are now supposed to be concentrating on gas. Either way, we need confirmation that these plans still hold. But my main desire is to see financials.
Revealing how much we have spent, how much we have earned, what are the development plans, what is the timescale and what we expect to earn and spend. All in that order but not necessarily at the same time.
We should get them in the next six weeks or so, hopefully giving us some answers and a boost to the SP, given the lack of information of late. I have said it before and I will say it again - SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!
That's a certainty for me too!!
What puzzles me is we have got an updated CPR on oil yet the consortium's stated objective is to concentrate on getting the gas out. So the gas development plan must be at an advanced stage, there is a buyer waiting in the wings, oil price is going up and the gas offtake will fund continuation of oil production I assume. Oh this waiting is insufferable. I am going to need some cash soon and may have to sell some. Oh woe is me!!
I wonder if the fact that it is an oil CPR update - and we are supposed to be concentrating on gas operations - that the SP hasn't moved significantly.
Just having a bit of fun. Done it myself in the past. Welcome Silad.

I think we have all got your point.
And more news on other fronts to come. Indeed exciting times. I have been in this share for years, even buying in I think when it was 4p or 5p. I have averaged down to a sweet 0.16 so today's surge is very welcome indeed. Come on 1p.
Ditto!
Yes Phil - But he must know what is going on and we deserve information having put our hard earned???
If we don't get the CPR by Thursday Close of Play, I hope SO will have the decency to inform his VERY patient shareholders of the reason. It may not be his fault, but a progress report would be helpful to stave off the inevitable attacks on him. If he doesn't, then I think his position should become even weaker come agm time when I hope the attendees will take him to task for his lack of communication with the people who help pay his salary.
TYPICAL!!! I just bought 1,500 worth at 0.6078 - and the ask drops. Grrrrr
