Man Group plc (the "Company") announces that on 03 March 2020 it purchased 500,000 of its ordinary shares with a weighted average price of 149.6406 pence per ordinary share pursuant to its US$100 million share repurchase programme, details of which were announced on 14 October 2019. The highest price paid per share was 151.50 pence and the lowest price paid per share was 147.05 pence. Details of the relevant repurchase transactions are set out below

MOSCOW, March 4 (Reuters) - Polymetal, one of
Russia's largest gold and silver producers, said on Wednesday
its 2019 net earnings rose 36% to a record high of $483 million
due to stronger global gold prices and higher output.

LONDON, March 4 (Reuters) - British life insurer Legal &
General posted a 12% rise in 2019 operating profit to
2.1 billion pounds ($2.69 billion) on Wednesday, boosted by
record company pension deals.

L&G has increasingly focused on bulk annuities - insuring
company final salary, or defined benefit, pension schemes.

Bulk annuity sales including several jumbo deals at
Britain's third-largest insurer reached 11.4 billion pounds, up
25% from a year earlier.

i did give in at 148.05 and got out again at 149.55

The US central bank has slashed interest rates in response to mounting concerns about the economic impact of the coronavirus.

The FTSE 100 share index is now 2.16% higher after the Federal Reserve cut its benchmark interest rate to try to shield the US economy from the effects of coronavirus.

US stock indexes also surged. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up or 1.20%, at 27,022.56, the S&P 500 was up 1.24% at 3,128.56. The Nasdaq Composite was up 1.12% at 9,052.75.

Dow Futures Erase Gains after G7 Statement Falls Short

Markets seem to have pretty much ignored an earlier statement by G7 finance leaders and central banks that they are "ready to take action" over coronavirus.

Neil Wilson, chief market analyst at Markets.com says "it's a little underwhelming for the markets."

"The door was wide open for the G7 to be a let-down as the market was longing for too much, and so it's transpired," he says.

"The market has been buoyed by hopes of coordinated action from the leading nations, but we have no real coordination and no real action."

The FTSE 100 was about 1.57% higher at 6759.07 points.
