Hi MEM
I prefer inflection point ... not crossroads :-p
Currently bored in airport lounge thought I'd drop in here hoping for some intellectual stimulus alas now anaesthetised ... suppose a BM or two worth trying π€
Fab Phil thank you for the link and the salient extracts you posted.
I'll read in detail tomorrow but from your extracts it seems clear that the civil servants and quangos have hung the minister out to dry. A heavy dose of reality has befallen DECC.
For PRD for many IE was a black Swan event ... not so .. circumstances would have prevailed.
The timing is a little surprising as is the 'bold' language .. are the CVs preparing the ground for their new political masters?
The clear probability of social unrest must be sober reading

Thanks for link Nick !!
I further selected VV - linear gamma 0 ..
very bright reflection from whatever is now onsite ... such bright returns in SAR are usually metal constructs with corners or edges ..
Can thus deduce that equipment is on pad.

HI Adon, I tend to also use SAR capable satellite and regularly used sentinel 1. However now using copernicus I'm not able to acquire images - there are no highlighted days in the calendar. Are you using copernicus ? If yes, it's likely I'm not selecting the appropriate options/ parameters.
Grateful for any tips you would be willing to share.
Thanks,
Vegas
Seabright , Caterham 7 , Methodology , Wacky just to add 4 that would feature highly in my top 10 folks I'm indebted to.
Thank you

As sure as spring follows winter .. yes π
Given confirmation today that contract signed with Star Valley for use of rig 101 to drill MOU-5 can we infer the conditions stated in RNS 12th Jan have already been met:
1. Amendment 4 has been approved
2. Flow rate from first rigless well have met or exceeded minimum requirement
From RNS 12TH Jan ...
Subject to the regulatory approval of Guercif Petroleum Agreement Amendment #4 to extend the Initial Period of the Guercif Petroleum Agreement to 5 June 2024, the Company is seeking to drill the Jurassic target
Funding the discretionary well would depend on final well cost estimates; the quantum of discretionary cash on the Company's balance sheet in Q2 2024; and the ability for potential early monetisation of gas following a successful Phase 1 rigless testing programme.

Hi PT,
Important to also highlight ... in November, the last three days of the month saw exceptional levels of gas demand, with the 30th and the 28th respectively being the highest two November gas demand days ever recorded, with gas playing a critical role in electricity supplies in Ireland.....
Important in the context Ireland has no gas storage facilties. Peak gas demand is increasing. Indigenous gas peak capacity supply is decreasing. Moffat peak capacity supply is static.
These are known trends and in a short number of years, may be 3 or 4, peak gas demand will exceed peak capacity gas supply. When that happens it seems inevitable that both gas and electricity usage will be rationed unless new sources of gas supply can be brought online.
ATB,
Vegas
I've said it before I'll say it again ...
GRH, you're not often wrong but you're right again !l!
βYou're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!β
Thank you for your continued willingness to share your knowledge, insights and information π
BR,

Why unbelievable?
All the relevant information has been RNS ... are you not paying attention ?
The conditions for award have clearly been met.
Obviously!!
Well ... assuming you can read and understand sentences and count to 1, 2 ,3 .... eh ... what's after 3 ?
Just been told FUD comes after 123 ... huh ... you live and learn
Good but concerning article in today's Telegraph ...
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2023/11/30/gas-network-maximum-capacity-cold-snap-hits/
Gas network already at maximum capacity. Importing electricity from abroad and paying folks to reduce consumption.
All predicted but years ahead of what 'experts' would have us believe.
It's reasonable to assume that Ireland will also hit an energy crunch years ahead of expert predictions.
Moffat interconnector does not have capacity to meet Irelands peak winter day gas demand. With Corrib production rate declining faster than 'expected ' a gas deficit will be inevitable.
So with 8 new gas powered electricity generators being planned where do they expect to source the gas feedstock .... follies in the making unless Irish government policy does a u turn

Literally a pipe dream
There is no agreement
SDX impersonating 'that guy' at the casino throwing his taxi fare home at the roulette table hoping for a double zero
MEG (may) import from Spain imported LNG at very high cost.
Good news for PRD as they will be able to set an attractive price in comparison.
A potentially more attractive option for SDX would be to purchase indigenous gas from a producer at the well head π€

BRV ... I'm reading your stuff and thinking doppelgangers are real π
Almost twins in our outlook and investing approach.
If you allow me .. please can I add one more name to your thank list .... Caterham 7
I hope you are well and approaching full health C7 !!

Hi Keith,
Greatly appreciate your views and analysis.
They differ in consequentially to mine.
I recall Paul stating a number of months previous .... when we release test results we will immediately become a take over target ... every action every word every period of silence I have viewed through the lense of that statement!!
Please keep posting your predictions I do appreciate them and I also find the halflings responses hilarious ππ

Repost ...
Will gas flow ?
I think we've been told already .... from RNS 13th June MOU-3 interim update ......
Operations update
Prior to setting 95/8" casing an INFLOW of gas into the well was experienced. A substantial drilling break from 339 to 350 metres TVD KB was identified as the source of the gas. This correlated with an 11 metre-thick, unconsolidated, good quality sand with elevated background gas readings.
Mud weight was gradually increased to 1.25 S.G., above that required to balance hydrostatic pressure. to reduce the INFLOW of gas into the well. This gas zone is therefore significantly overpressured (122 psi overpressured) and likely to be supported by connectivity to gas volume to provide pressure support.
If I may politely suggest to folks unsure to read and read again Methodology's excellent regression analysis on flow rates on PRD Reddit site .... then read PRD A sleeping giant.

Why are you allowing yourselves to promote and be complicit in an obvious click bait scam ?
Stop.
Please just stop.
Thank you
Is the Trans Sahara gas pipeline now a pipe dream ?
With Geo politics and enormous cost it was always a high risk venture.

Now add an alternative very low cost, politically stable and European looking competitor and the venture looks untenable.
